Exploration thread

Man, does it seem like we have a lot of crappy territory? moutains, jungle, tundra, swamp and desert, all with 15 tiles. Much of our good territory is plains and hills.

I just hope the iroquois dont' have lush grass with cows all over it...

Well, hopefully we'll have lots of resources :)

I already mentioned this in Pre Turn thread ... but I think for our next moves should be for Choi moving NE (I would feel more comfortable with the least amount of black around the goody hut) and Jong-Yul to move S.

I don't see why we want to unblack the goody hut. It's not like we'll be able to see the opponents coming in anyway, with the FOW back in place. And since there seems to be water N of the tile N, I'd suggest Choi moves N to reveal that water and its shores in all their glory.

I would like to start thinking about taking Jong-Yul home. Every turn he's out on the move now costs us 1 gp because we must have the lux slider higher.

??? I don't understand the reasoning on the first part. I would go N and S again.

:agree: Our core advantage flows from science and commerce... we must pinch every penny we can!
(That and our team is just simply the best)

Aye, one warrior homewards soon, Jong.
Choi to move on north.

West tenchar.

Go Weeest (life is peaceful now...) :band:

(turn #18).

Choi moved west and found more gems. It looks like the jungle tile with the gems is on the coast.

So, should Choi go west anyway or turn to the north again? My initial thought is north. What does everyone else say?

Agree with West. Coast means good view.

West.

Aside - Bit disappointed to have found 2 different luxes already, was hoping that they would be harder to come across and that this would create monopoly situations and races for sweet spots.

I guess we must await developments when we meet others and see if everyone has 2 luxes closeby.

Jong-Yul has returned to The Chamber. Choi is on the coast:

Looks like Choi goes N on turn 20 and NE on turn 21?
