Three little suggestions: On the Complete Europe (G&K) map, give luxuries to the Peloponnese, for the Greeks seem to rather go north and leave the peninsula unsettled until up to Renaissance.
Give a little more goodness to the Western Mediterranean islands, since there's little incentive to get them for a long time, until they become strategically important as naval bases in the late days.
The third thing is as old as are Europe maps: Eastern Europe always appears a little empty like no one's at home. I could imagine Ukrainians and Bulgarians filling the gap there. This would mean to turn the map into a small mod and create some renamed fake civilizations from existing ones. I don't know how difficult that would be compared to Civ IV, however. At least this would provide a little counter weight to Dschingis and Kathy, who can ICS pretty much unbothered, now.
Map is absolutely fantastic, but I've noticed something weird about the full Europe map on Standard. EVERY time I get to the Modern era all of my Great people (artist, writers and musicians) lose their ability to create great works. It isn't that it is greyed out, there isn't a button to press to do it at all. It just goes poof and all they are good for are starting golden ages and giving culture bumps. Kinda frustrating. Anyone know how to fix this?

@Johan - would you be so kind as to share your reduced map? I am also looking for a smaller size that doesn't include the mediterranean, but covers slightly more than the northwest version... If that is okay with the map creator of course.
