Extended Europe - 22 Civs TSL

SO much fun playing this map.

Is there any way to make Extended Eras mod compatible with this?

Three little suggestions: On the Complete Europe (G&K) map, give luxuries to the Peloponnese, for the Greeks seem to rather go north and leave the peninsula unsettled until up to Renaissance.

Give a little more goodness to the Western Mediterranean islands, since there's little incentive to get them for a long time, until they become strategically important as naval bases in the late days.

The third thing is as old as are Europe maps: Eastern Europe always appears a little empty like no one's at home. I could imagine Ukrainians and Bulgarians filling the gap there. This would mean to turn the map into a small mod and create some renamed fake civilizations from existing ones. I don't know how difficult that would be compared to Civ IV, however. At least this would provide a little counter weight to Dschingis and Kathy, who can ICS pretty much unbothered, now.

If the designer has some time to play this.

Great Idea, but perhaps instead of a MOD, there might be 2 more city states added.

Minsk
Poltava
Chernigov
Suzdal

Those cities were separate from Russia for the longest time.

Another version of Northern Europe with Huns and Mongols sees more action in that region, but still is somewhat empty.

Overall I give these maps A+++.

Seems like a great map so far. In the whole europe map there is a graphics flicker for venice's pearls on it's atoll. If no one else has noticed and it's me don't worry about it. If it's a map problem it's pretty annoying to play venice or rome.

Hey PDMX

Great maps !! :goodjob:

I enjoy playing the Europe map alot, but the turn time etc. get really slow in the end. So i decided to try and resize the map a little (hope you dont mind) to something like the Picture below. As i am not experienced with the World builder i have run into some problem. When i load up the map, there are always extra civs and citystates placed on the map.

Therefore i am looking for help. Can you explain why i see the extra civs/city states and how i can control the number of civs etc?

Or if it is easy for you, i suggest yet another version of your great map, as painted in the image :-)

I think putting Huns in there, SW of Genghis would make that area more lively, but you would need to take someone out. Babylon comes to mind as that corner is very crowded and hampers all of those civs but Assyrians and Babylonians the most.

hi PDMX and all community. this map is awesome. i like city-state placement as well. my fault but i have not license so i cannot download new SDK. i want to play this map on MARATHON but i cant edit map. can someone do this to play it on marathon?

Map is absolutely fantastic, but I've noticed something weird about the full Europe map on Standard. EVERY time I get to the Modern era all of my Great people (artist, writers and musicians) lose their ability to create great works. It isn't that it is greyed out, there isn't a button to press to do it at all. It just goes poof and all they are good for are starting golden ages and giving culture bumps. Kinda frustrating. Anyone know how to fix this?

I think this is not a bug as such but that there aren't any more great works to create. There are a finite number in the database and once you reach the limit, which can be quite quickly when there are a lot of civs in play, that's it. No more great works. Hopefully they will add more or create generic types in the next patch.

@Johan - would you be so kind as to share your reduced map? I am also looking for a smaller size that doesn't include the mediterranean, but covers slightly more than the northwest version... If that is okay with the map creator of course.

Yes, I've attached it. I did get my problems fixed, so the map is working fine now. Have fun with it. :D
If you want England to play a big role in your game, removing the celts(Scotland) is a good idea. Russia usually get very strong, even though them dont have as much Space as they did in the original version.

Let me know how the map plays out for you :goodjob:

Thanks a lot Johan, I will try it out and report back as soon as I completed a play through. Map looks very interesting:D

Want to say thank you again for such a fantastic detailed map. Having a blast using medeteranian map as ROME.

I understand that the developer is very buissy now, but if maybe someone else has time to cut the map to include little bit less of middle east and little bit more north, to include South german and french teritories.
Maybe label it a ROME map

thank you so much.

What's the difference between the std and epic versions?

edit: ahh ok lol, game speed :P

I have my files modified for standard research to take longer, but when i tried to change it for epic, it did not work.

Thank you so much, I have been trying to look for Roman scenario, but not a lot of luck. This map would be fantastic encorporating south germany, south france and palestine.

Mayebee some ideas to make carthige stronger, they are usually much weaker than most of the players.

thank you

Please, can someone with new sdk make MARATHON version of EE v8 BNW? Just one click because i have not lisence. Thanks.

Hey. If I try to change the Civ I play as in Set Up Game, I cannot load the scenario. I would love to play as someone other than Rammy. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I have a mac?

Sorry for being a noob. This is my first post.
