Ok, I'll post here because it's not exactly computer talk... But mods, fell free to move it if necessary.
I am making a huge reform of my apartment (basically destroyed it and begun rebuilding the insides), and I'm taking the oportunity to modernize it. I turned my office in a games room and bought a denon receiver to distribute antenna and computer video and audio to other TVs in the house.
The main goal is to make the games/cinema set up replicable in other rooms; so when I want to use the office as an office proper, to work, my wife can use the entertainment in the living room or the bedroom.
My setup mostly did that, and I bought infrared extensor so that will replicate the signals from the Xbox 360 (maybe eventually the Xone), and of wireless mouse and keyboard... But they won't replicate PS3 and ps4 controllers, that are Bluetooth.
Though my apartment is not that big, trying to rely on the regular range does not work, the signal becomes laggy and iffy, and battery consumption skyrockets.
I've been looking online for solutions. Some people recommended physical modifications to the console, to put in a better antenna, but I'd rather not do it, not even counting that it looks awful, and as many people online considered it a failure as the amount that had success.
So far, my plan is to buy a ps tv just for the remote play capacity, but that solution is also imperfect. To minimize lag, I'll have to have an extra wired connection in each of the points I want it to work, and doing it with minimalistic setups is expensive. Also, it's a device to connect every time I want to go to a different room, and I'd rather a solution where it worked seamlessly, like it will be for the Microsoft devices and the pc.
As I am in early stages of execution, I still have time for changes. So, I'm asking for ideas. Any suggestion on how to get it done better?
Regards
