F^4 Where did you go to College/University or Did you??

I'm on 4th year (out of 5) of computer science at University of Wroclaw.

I went to Antioch College in Ohio, where I majored in Creative Writing and took full advantage of a pass/fail grading system that's much more forgiving than the Jason one. Our sports teams are called the "Radicals," except there have been no extramural sports teams in about 70 years.

Queen Mary College London in the Mile End road - Astrophysics. Nearly went ot UCL but decided Astrophysics sounded better than Astronomy.

I wento for interviews at QMC and King's as well. King's were very snooty and made it clear they thought it very unlikely I'd meet their entrance requirments. Well I did anyway, and turned their offer down . QMC looked great, but I fell in love with the idea of living in central London for three years, and went for UCL.

Wow, there a lot of engineers here. I feel in good company.

University of California, Davis with a Bachlor's Degee in Aerospace Engineering. I now work at the Navy's premier weapons research and development laboratory where I hold the title Chief Scientist in the Propulsion and Energetics Systems Division. It sounds a lot more impressive than it actually is, I'm really an old guy who is about to retire.

I only took a couple classes outside of my music program. Sociology and Philosophy.

I started my degree at Hatfield Polytechnic, which changed to a University during my course becoming The University of Hertfordshire. I studied Computing Mathematics, half the course spent with those doing a Maths degree, the other half learning how to use computers for solving mathematical problems.

It's interesting that OneFastWarrior should mention music, as I've recently (if you consider 2 years recent) taken up the piano! Between practising the piano, reading sf/fantasy and playing GOTM I don't seem to have much time for work or my other hobbies of sleeping/eating .

The Atanasoff-Berry Computer was the world's first electronic digital computer. It was built by John Vincent Atanasoff and Clifford Berry at Iowa State University during 1937-42. Here is the link to it if you want to read more:

About me, I attended a small, private university in Nashville, TN, USA. I received a B.A., with majors in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Business Administration. Like you, Creepster, I have wanted to continue working (teaching) and get my graduate work completed, but my field of choice (Romance Languages and Linguistics) just isn't available online. So, I recently resigned my teaching position and am looking to return to school full-time in order to complete my graduate work.
