The War of the Books is over and peace has returned to the world. Although the Persians may not like us now, I believe they can become a powerful ally later on. But to accomplish this, we will have to get them happy and keep them that way. My first suggestion to do this is to build an embassy with Xerxes. Not only will we gain popularity points with the Persians, we will see the terrain surrounding their capital and see a very valuable screenshot. My next suggestion is to bring Persia into most future wars on our side. Not only will these MA's get them happy, they will help us to defeat our enemies. Now I konw some of you are still upset over the Persian War and might not want to be friends. But I think we should put our differences aside and nice with the Persia nation. So saying that, tell me what you think...

Persia would make a fine ally, but we must make sure they don't get TOO powerful. They could at any time turn on us, so keep their power-level in check.

I agree, we could surround any enemy civ, us from the south, persia from the north. however, getting them into the German war, would be a terrible mistake. We plan on having a relativley short war, 10 maybe 15 turns i assume. So an MA that we end quickly would hurt us, probably not permanent but it would take a few valuable gifts to make them nice again. Also, if they attack Germany from the north, they might get Berlin first, or worse take all of northern Germany and go on a conquest rampage.

anyway i agree i have long thought a strong persia could be a counter balance to a roman and french dominated world.

Ally with persia? We must wipe everyone out of this part of the world. If we destroy most of our enemies and Persia gets too powerful because of our limitations, then we are going to screw the DG.

We have to ally ourselves with someone and Persia is the best one. We are the southern most nation on our continent. That means, if we destroy say Rome, and we are allied with France not Persia, France will easily gobble up that land. But lets say we ally with Persia, being not as close to Rome, they would not neccesarily take that land.
