While we're discussing the idiosyncrasies of the game clock, I have question:
What causes the turn timer to go negative in Civ Stats? My understanding is PitBoss doesnt actually run the clock when someone is taking a turn, hence the 3 6 hours extra.
My original thought was someone must be logged in, preventing the turn from ending. However, Ive seen it go negative when everyone was offline so I dont think thats the reason.
Then I thought it must be how Civ Stats synchs up with the 3-6 additional hours PitBoss has added to the turn. However, Ive noticed the New Turn time changes over the course of the turn, so Im not sure this is the correct interpretation either.
I would be interested to hear alternative explanations.
