Actual stupid newbie story:

A couple of years ago there was this guy who bought a brand new licensed CD with C&C Red Alert. The game was in great vogue at the time and this guy tried to install it. It didn't work...

After spending several hours of dispair, he finally tossed the CD into the opposite wall of his room, breaking it (the CD, not the room) to bits. Yes, but the CD was licensed... now what do you do? You can't get your money back so guess what the guy did:

He bought a tube of wonder glue and sticked all the pieces of the shreaded CD together... We now have a brand new CD... why not put it in the CD-ROM and try to see if it works again? The next day he had to get his CD-ROM fixed also...

Having just one post (well... now 2) does not make you a newbie. What do you mean by newbye anyway?? Maybe Civ Fanatics Newbies, but I think it's about computer newbies or simply "greenhorns" such as those described by Mark Twain (Read the first paragraph of Winetoo)...
