Hey Vehem

Quick question; what do I have to change to allow the Kahdi to adopt religions?

I just wanted to change this for my personal game... medetation halls don't seem to be enough to counteract the loss of a religion :)

I believe the Ambitious trait has the Agnostic trait built into it, so you'd have to recode or remove it. And if anyone can answer my earlier question, that'd be great.
 
OK where is the code? Which python file? (I assume it's a python file... can't seem to find anything appropriate in the XML's)

In the LeaderInfos.xml (I believe) in Assets/XML, remove the Agnostic trait from Kahd.

I have no clue where the trait codes are, but I'd assume it's a python somewhere, probably would have to ask Vehem.

If anyone can answer my question about the buildings and units having no models, I'd really appreciate it. I can't play FF and it's bummin me out. :(
 
Ambitious does not have <bAgnostic>1</bAgnostic>, and it is not handled through python. The Trait has nothing to do with Khadi's inability to adopt a religion. Agnostic would block his from ever researching the religion founding tech, but the inability to adopt a religion is actually handled through the ReligionWeightModifiers. Whenever a leader has a -100 weight towards the religion, he is unable to adopt it. Weightings actually change the way the game interprets the percentage of a civ's citizens/cities follow the religion, so a -100 weighting means that the religion will never be viewed as being present in any city, even if it is actually in all of them. This makes it impossible to adopt the religion.



Some of the resistances/immunities definitely don't work, but the fact that they don't work isn't normally reflected in the reported combat odds...

Kael just identified the SDK problem and fixed it for 0.33. I'm thinking that Vehem should get Kael to show him the fix so that the next version of FF can be released sooner and for 0.32 (which probably means it would be more stable for my modmod) but not hav this bug still.
 
Ahhh, ok, thanks for clearing that up MC. Now that begs the question: Where the heck did I get the idea that Ambitious had Agnostic in it?! :P
 
Windsword bladewind spell crashes the game when it hits units in city. I'm guessing garrisoned units don't respond well to the knockback effect.

Loving these guys riding the pegasus btw :)

EDIT: no wait.. there was a nox noctis invisibility units in the mix as well.

and while on the subject: pegasus riders (most likely all flying units) get penalty from amphibious assaults. Doesn't seem quite right.
 
Does Mark of the Warden reduce the Events Armagedon Counter, or the one above the scoreboard? I ask because I have built about half of the Gaurdians of the Wyvern, but haven't seen any change to the armagedon Counter.

It reduces the raw counter (above score card) the other is a percentage of the raw score

Nox Noctis and the Whirlwind knockback effect may not play nicely together as the last time FfH had the Whirlwind ability used, it didn't have Nox Noctis. I'll see what I can do about it.

Pegasi riders being penalized for amphibious attacks does seem a little off. Will do something about that.
 
Has anyone ever had a problem where after installing FF, copying the FfH files during installation, none of the units or buildings have any graphics...? o.O I checked regular FfH, and they have graphics there, but when trying to run FF none of the units or buildings have graphics, not even the regular FfH ones. If anyone has a solution to this problem I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance! :)

AFAIK it, this is no common problem. I doubt its a gfx-card driver problem, but u should definetly scan your partition for errors, in case something went wrong during the install of FF.
If nothing helps, try a reinstall of FFh & FF, & see fit to have no other modmods installed!

Heh, I've reinstalled it four different ways, each of them twice. One of the ways actually sorta worked, except that way I had no interface and all the units were like 3 times larger. I think I may have finally found the culprit though, we'll see.

I'm really not sure of any install order that can cause that.

The correct order in anycase is;

1. Beyond the Sword 3.17 (if you don't have it already)
2. Fall from Heaven 2 032
3. Fall from Heaven 2 032 Patch L
4. Fall Further 040
5. Fall Further 040 Patch B
 
I just wanted to post and congratulate you on a fantastic modmod. These civs seem to add a lot to the game. I've played full games with both the Chislev and Austrin. The Chislev are great in combination with OO.. two hero archmages at Arcane lore pulled me out of a 1500 point hole. I do have to agree with the Austrin hero being overpowered though.. I usually struggle on Monarch, but I easily won a game on Emperor almost entirely with the hero. The game was over by turn 170. Maybe if you made the Exploration lodge require hunting like a normal hunting lodge this would make him a little less dominant? Anyway, thanks for the hard work.

My suspicions that the bug was caused by faulty BtS files seems to be based in fact, seeing as how the game thought it had 3.17 installed even though it didn't, didn't install it when I tried to install it, and when I tried to reinstall BtS and there was no re-installing occurring :( Now I'm without BtS, FfH, AND FF until I can get my hands on a new set of BtS discs. Well ain't that just peachy...
 
I've been playing around with FF this week and I'm getting a kick out of the Cualli in particular, though my habit of ignoring the recon line is proving problematic as far as unit upgrades. Very nice work.

One thing I've noticed is that the Ceridwen-related buy-a-prophet event seems to come up quite frequently in the early game; had it hit twice in a row before turn 100 in a game with the Archos, and again with a slightly wider time gap in a later game with the Cualli. It's probably just a fluke but did you do anything to the frequency of that one?
 
First, i want to say hi to the community as this is my first post here. I'm french so i wil try to explain my problem as simple as possible. I run the complete civ4 french version BTS 3.17. I can play FFH2l without any problem but when i install your mod, i get no text at all on the menu screen and no text in game either if i manage to run a game anyway. I know some german guy had the same issue previously in this forum (can't remember his name) so it's definitely a localisation problem.
I know it can be hard to debug that kind of thing as nobody is running multiple versions of civ4 but i will add some clues to the table :
- It's not related to Worker mod, FFHBUG or Marnok Lairs as they are working for me without Fall Further.
- Orbi Modmod (recently provided by Ahwaric) on the other hand is causing the exact same issue (no text) so that can be a start to anyone kind enough to help.
It's really frustrating to be unable to experience Fall Further and all the goodies it contains. I'm not even able to merge all the modmods i want to play with and i see they're already almost all included in FF so it sounds much easier to install (not to mention i heard some other mods will be included in soon).
So, if anyone is able to help, and i know there's a bunch of smart and nice people around there, all suggestions will be apreciated. On a related note, if you're a local player with similar settings and don't have any issue with this mod, please let me know how you're doing.
