Fallout 3

Or you can choose to play Fallout 1 and 2... it'd be a mind-opening experience. Fallout 3 is probably more of an eye-opening experience...

One, two and three! Of course only if they fixed most of the bugs.

I absolutely love this game. I've been playing for many many hours and am blown away by the depth of it. Just for fun I'll post a few screens.

Im using the laser rifle as my primary...its accurate and has a really low AP cost, I love that thing, I killed a BOS outcast to get my initial one though,,,Ive found three of the bobbleheads so far as well, they help a lot, and my chrector is level 15 and Ive already run out of things to spend my skill points on that will really matter. Still havnt touched the main quest though.....

edit:
Spoiler :
I can see your playing as a good guy ehh? Nice armor, did you find there base yet?

I'm starting a new game as evil unarmed/melee char. My current one is level 18 and I don't feel like finishing the game with her. The game gives you way too many skill points

Here's a question: to what extent do you think your chosen SPECIAL affects the game difficulty? For instance I imagine that having a high luck makes the game easier generally, and a high intelligence also makes it easier because your levelling up is superior. But is this balanced by what you miss out on in your other attributes?

In particular I am interested in the effect of selecting 1) a high luck and 2) a high charisma, as I didn't boost either of them with my first character. Neither did I boost endurance, but I think that has a pretty obvious effect...

I'm looking for spoilers... there were mention of solving quests peacefully. Have anyone done any of those quests? Could you post screenshots of the dialogue choices (in a spoiler tag, of course)?

I Think they have two bases, the one in the wastes at The military installments where I found an (assload of weapons and ammo) and one in the DC ruins(someone hinted at it) which I haven't entered yet

I really cant get enough of this game there is so much to see and do. I'm capped at level 20 right now and still wandering the wastes trying to avoid the main quest and finding so many interesting locales. I love finding computer terminals that tell you of events of the past and life in vaults etc.

Spoiler :
There's one quest that you get in Megaton called Blood Ties. Essentially you're to deliver a letter to a young girls family in a town called Arefu. It turns out her family was killed by vampires and her brother was taken away. You must then find the vampires hideout and rescue her brother. I believe you have several choices to complete the quest here one being through dialogue(sorry I don't remember the specifics of what I said to the vampire leader) and another by going in guns blazing. Youcan probably even do it by sneaking around and stealing stuff. Choice is yours. There are many other quests too that involve several factions and you can choose which side you're going to help.

A lot of the quests have multiple dialogue options, like when I was looking for a cetain person there was a lady I could try and convince through charisma to give me information, I could bribe, or I could use knowledge of a certain skill I had to relate to her and get information, so theres plenty of choices.

There is also this big one involving a andriod(not robot) where in some dialoge(depending on the person) I can use the skills speech or science, and use my attributes strength or intelligence to get the info. Obviously speech is simply charm it out of them and strength is intimidation. But I dont see why Intelligence and Science are in dialoge options. Seems rather redundant to me

come to think of it I have solved/finnished most quests by either sneaking or through dialogue. While the FPS is great, I fail to see the need for half my combat skills when I can just sneak up on them and either steal what I need or shoot them in the back of the head and take what I need.

Thats the quest I was referring to:lol: but I was trying not spoil anything blatantly.....

more on bobbleheads for those who were worried they would be unbalancing:
Spoiler :
Ive been playing for thirty five hours and have only found five of them....and all Ive been doing is exploring all over the wastes, these things are freaking impossible to find and there is no ryme or reason to where there placement is either.

Strength is a convenience attribute for non-melee characters. You can carry everything essential with STR 1

Perception is useless but necessary for awesome perks like Sniper and Better Criticals. No more than PER 6

Endurance isn't very good. The game showers you with Stimpaks and food

Charisma is useless for anyone except hardcore diplomats

Intelligence = skill points. INT 4 gets you Educated and Comprehension so that's the lowest you should go with

Agility and Luck are great for any character

I found a high perception helps for aiming, and IMO the sniper perk isn't all that great. Actually, there really arent any "super perks" in Fallout 3 like there were in one and two. Grim Reapers sprint seems like it would be, but it turns out I was killing everything in one or two shots anyway by level twenty so it didn't really matter.

Perception doesn't increase accuracy like it did in Fallout 1/2/Tactics. Your accuracy depends on how many skill points you have in that combat skill

I found the GNR which has a lot of the Brotherhood of Steel in it. But, I could not find their leader or the lab- I want to learn how to use the power armor! I have a suit with DR 26 and a helmet that are just waiting to be used. Right now I am using Talon Combat armor with a DR of 15 (can't get the condition to max) and the Motorcycle Helmet which had a DR of 5 at max COND but now is only 4.

I am currently level 8. I have an Intelligence of 10, Perception of 8, Strength and Agility of 6, Endurance of 5, and Luck of 3. I still get quite a few critical hits even though my Luck is so low.

Oh, how do I repair my guns myself without using up other guns? Are their Misc items that can repair guns?

BoS headquarters is located in the Citadel. You won't get in there for a while, just keep doing the main quest

Have a merchant fix it for you. No other ways

which actually sucks becuase then you cant ever fix up unique armors all the way.
