Farewell Mistfit

The following was announced with today's IV update:

• Longtime Hall of Fame Staffer Mistfit has stepped down due to time constraints. While not always a public presence of the staff, he's vetted more than his fair share of games during his time. He's also responsible for the majority of the impressive graphics and banners on the HOF site. He'll continue to serve our art needs as they arise, but his regular presence behind the scenes will be sorely missed.

Denniz is also HOF Staff, still, but he only really deals with IV.

I won't downplay what a loss Mistfit is, but we've got things well under control. Have no worries.

I was thinking of starting a thread that everyone could submit screenshots of killing the Mongols for you but since that is probably too spammy, here's this:

Let us never forget the man that first threw down 'the gauntlet' to Denniz and in one fell swoop increased the enjoyment I get from civ 3 by several hundred percent. What a thread that was and how much stronger the HoF is for its introduction.

Thanks guys as superslug said I will not be dropping completely out of CFC. I have made too many good friends here. I just cannot give the HoF the time it so richly deserves. As an asside I would not give up the mantle of HoF staff if I thought that ss - Dianthus - and Dennis would not be able to handle the load. Those are the guys that really deserve the thread for thanks as I have seen the dedication and the LOADS of work that have been done, especially since the start of cIV. You really only see about 10% of the work that they put in.

Since I left this forum before Misfit came on board, I don't really know anything about his works here. Nevertheless, I have always considered all the staffs here as heroes. Anyone who volunteer countless time to help make this place/forum/world a better place is truely a hero in my book. Please note that all the staffs here (may be with the exception of Thunderfall, the side owner) are volunteers. For all their exceptional works, they get pay nothing! Not even a penny! Not even a "thank you" note from Santa during Christmas! But they keep on working hard and helping to make this forum a better and enjoyable place for all of us. Thank you, Mistfit! And thank you to all the heroes who still here and those that are no longer here with us.
