hehe ;)

Actually, it's Calcio in Italian, catenaccio simply means bolt or padlock. About soccer, I've voluntarily forgotten that one. :mischief:

I voted field hockey...awesome game .... but if Aussie Rules was a choice it'd be an absolute no-brainer! but i didn't vote for football because of the risk of being considered a fan of either soccer or gridiron!

to play myself: floorball
to watch: ice hockey

Seeing as how my favorite (track & field, which I participate in) isn't included I'll have to go with my second FOOTBALL!!!!
(my third favorite, lacrosse, is also not included :wallbash: )

^^^Yeah, but the best thing about the old days was the fact that you played both offense and defense. I can't really think of a sport besides baseball where someone doesn't play all sides of the ball. To me that's the real reason it would be called a pansy sport. Jim Brown was awesome because he could run and play D. I wish the NFL kept it like that. It makes things too specialized. REAL Superstars would be quickly noticed, for example there are a lot of star recievers, but the superstars would be the ones who could also pick passes off, and they would be rare. And also, Quarterbacks would have to stop being such pansies hiding behind the line and actually be physically fast and strong.

That's why I like college football, the players are more likely to play on both sides of the ball and aren't overpayed weiners.

American football is my favorite to watch...favorite to play is...I dunno, probably Golf

Please, elaborate what happens to a soccer athlete other than some dehydration and maybe a twisted ankle if they get tripped or what have you.

If your saying soccer is more superior to american football by using toughness, your going to lose.

Plenty of broken bones, facial injuries, cranial injuries, torm muscles etc in soccer.
Nice example here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/481866.stm
It's a full contact sport, done with the legs. But you are right, it's not as tough as American football. Rugby is though.

I voted American Football. Rugby is hands down the toughest sport. I wouldn't say either American Football or Futball (soccer to us Americans) was a pansy sport and anyone who thinks such of either has not seen that sport played a full game. QB's do have to be tough now a days also as Mark Brunell who is in his mid-thirties got flipped upside down twice in the game he played Monday. Once he didn't even see the guy coming. I was amazed he got back up and continued playing even though he looked dizzy and he played pretty well considering his line couldn't protect him. I also love the strategy in football. ;)
