Yes those quotes that may have become semi-annoying by your 20th game of Civ 4 but the question is:

What is your Favorite Tech Quote to hear?

It would be nice if your opinion is not biased on what the quote gives but if you feel that the Liberalism quote really deserves it... ;)

I didn't do a poll because there are just too many options. (At least I could ignore the techs Sid does )

Mine is Civil Service: "The Bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding Bureaucracy."

A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

-Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Victorious Warriors win first then go to war while defeated warriors go to war first then seek to win. --Sun Tzu

Tech: Military Tradition

Has to be the quote from the Network Node tech. Ok, it's not from Civ, but you didn't specify, and I still find myself remembering it randomly, 10 years later.

Gunpowder

"You can get more of what you want with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word." - Al Capone

No.1 for me, by far.

Monotheism

"I am the Lord Thy God, Thou Shalt have no other gods before Me"

I always pictured God sounding sort like Leonard Nimoy :P

I also like Mysticism

"Nature herself has imprinted in the minds of all the idea of God"

It's true...just look around, how could there not have been someone to create all this? Look at all of the civilizations that worshiped a God or Gods...

"Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are." -- Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.

It's also the opening line to "Iron Chef" which is one of my favorite shows. :cooool:

It's true...just look around, how could there not have been someone to create all this?
Ask Darwin

My favorite: (because it's true)
"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist." - Dom Hélder Câmara (Tech: Communism)

"The wisest men follow their own direction ." - Euripides (Compass)

"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist." - Dom Helder Camara (Communism)

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." - Benjamin Franklin (Liberalism)

"One doesn't discover new lands without losing sight of the shore." - Andre Gide (Optics)

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo Galilei (Scientific Method)

Look at all of the civilizations that worshiped a God or Gods...
"It's not because they're a lot to be wrong that they are right" - Coluche ;)

"Hath not the potter power over the clay to make one vessel unto honor, and one unto dishonor?" - Pottery

And Railroad because "Pig Iron" is just hilarious every time.

"The wisest men follow their own direction ." - Euripides

I liked the quote so much that I put it in my sig.
