My favorite unit is Infantry... it's simply a class above its predecessors and can remain viable for the rest of the game unupgraded. Me getting Infantry is the beginning of the end for the rest of the civs on the map!

Favorite unit... :hmm: If it isn't necessarily the strongest I prefer Modern Armor. And I really like the blitz promotion.

Modern Armor. Great for miltary victories in the modern age, especially if your opponent doesn't have aluminum.

    Cho-Ko-Nu, because they're amazing:

    2-3 first strikes
    50% bonus on melee
    does collateral dmg
this is all before your vassalage/rax/etc upgrades

Tell me that doesn't kick a little butt.

Marine, because I'm an evil backstabbing bastard:

We all know that your greatest ally midgame will probably turn out to be your greatest enemy lategame (Diplo or Space-Race), and that's why I like to keep about a dozen transports brimming with marines. I can level about 5-6 cities in one round, and completely destroy any civ's chance at a win, should I choose. Of course, only a couple times did I go on to win myself, after that. But nevertheless, razing 5-6 cities in a single turn and losing an equal amount of marines (usually the only ones that die are the ones who have to actually raze the city) makes me smile.

My top 5 for Civ VI

    1. Cavalry: 1/2 of the world is MINE!!!
    2. Modern Armour: close second, there goes the other 1/2
    3. stealth bomber: any hope of stopping my tanks is now at 1/2 strength with 0% defense bounus.
    4. Axemen: the founding of my nation is up to these guys.
    5. IBCM: my space race opponents find out the citizens of thier top production cities have been covered in an orange mist. victory is assured.

    1. Grenadiers - I use them for my main conquests,
    2. Macemen - I build them, promote to City Raider and upgrade to Grenadiers.

Praetorians are just ridiculous strong units at a ridiculous early age.

Of course, if the enemy is defending with a lot of axemen - then their charm is not all that.
