Favourite architecture

The Helsinki station looks kinda like an Art Deco building?

1909 seems very early for that, although I'm ignorant on architecture so maybe not...

Art Deco is definately my favourite architecture style. Chrysler building is awesome, I would post it but I believe it already has been.

Those russian buildings are seriously cool.

edit:
I can't see the picture Mirc.

Palaces that were demolished from Bucharest during Communist rule:

Yeah Ive already posted it, couldnt resist :)

1909 is early for Art Deco, but not Art Nouveau, which was the precursor to Art Deco. Art Nouveau was quite popular at this time in Europe, as well as the US. Dont worry if you think the statues are blatantly Art Deco, that just means youre seeing things right.

Heres some of my favorite examples of noveau:

Looking forward to them, Mirc :)

Seems somehow Firefox doesn't recognize them as pics, and tells me they are "Firefox documents" with the .html extension. I'll end up taking a screenshot of each and saving it as a new image. Will do that, but not now, tomorrow. Had a very hard day and it's almost 2 o'clock here. :)

Some buildings from Hood College (Maryland, USA). I guess it'd be called 'Colonial Revival', which sounds about right for the time frame that the college started (very late 19th C.).

Never had the chance to do that. Lost those files the day after I wrote that post. :(

I'm sorry but the John Hancock Henter is just ugly. I've disliked it ever since I began playing Microsoft Flight simulator. And the Aon center is a bit boring, but that new swirly tower looks really good.

Yah the Aon Center isn't that great. But I do like the John Hancock center. I just think the whole cross bracing design on the outside is really cool and original.
