yeah- i took that into consideration... there is only barely anything left at all of your unit... the fight really was that one-sided... torches don't help much when you are THAT out-classed.

Well I never said I wanted to control them. It would be fun to see it happen, is all!

oh, in that case there is a chance of a negative stability effect based on the following formula:

a RNG determines a number with a mean of 93.25 (or something very much like that) and a standard deviation of 3.3 (or something close to that).

I then compare it to your stability. If your stability is higher, nothing happens. If your stability is lower, then you get a negative stability effect.

the opposite is true for high stability.

multiple turns of bad events can lead to government collapse.

Sweet! I have always wondered what would happen to the Mist Elves should the White Queen fall (really, she is the only person keeping them together).

Luker: so, in what way did the Syrii Colonization break the Charter? Pont 10, the Colonization
Clause? That dosn't say that a Nation can't expand, just not take the land of another member. At least, that's how it looks.

LDi: can you please explain for darksaber (and any others)

That's what we intended, but it seems Immy/Junil took it differently that what we meant.

Well, thats odd.

Also, just a question for future reference, since Tali is one of the most laid back gods is there anything that would actually cause him to retaliate against a nation other than him thinking things have gotten too boring.

It's annoying considering that as soon as Immac told us that Junil was from now on taking things literally, we changed the wording on that clause, yet this all still happened.

Well, I just happened to read the League Charter and read the following:
The Members of the League must honour their current territorial boundaries as defined by their current settlements, but leave the rest of the world open to colonization
And I thought... But, I wanted to colonize Fox Tooth Island, and now it was no longer open for colonization because the Syrii took it. Therefore, the Syrii didn't leave that part of the world open to colonization (by me or anyone else). Therefore they broke the word of the treaty.
I'll agree that the spirit was certainly different, but "leaving open" implies you must leave it, not colonize it, so respecting the treaty to the letter, you can't settle. Which is why I asked the CCCC to amend our clause.

@ EKO:
as i said in the social thread: when they colonized the first island it was already too late... its not like you did anything wrong (or could have changed things)...

there will be no more writing competitions
the stories are good but the voting doesn't really reflect people's taste or opinions exclusively; they also reflect thier marketing and diplomatic/negotiation skills which isn't in the spirit of the competition

Have Writing competitions for the turn BEFORE it starts. Say you start one on Turn 25 to conclude on turn 26. Only stories from turn 22 to turn 25 can count.

No, it is better without them. I think there needs to be some other way to reward stories. One that doesn't rely on marketing to people outside of the game.

I agree.

I think that was directed towards you ;)

Mmm.. Would you be upset by my claiming unsettled land near your borders? Eekin went there three centuries ago or more and Kuriotates let our kin die there at the time. Now we came back. Surely you can't see anything wrong with that?
