FfH trivia game thread

I don't know if it's applicable in FfH, but anyhow, it was the answer I was expecting.

[DELETED]

And now for something completely different.

-Good morning miss,
- 'ere, what do you mean "Miss"?
-I'm sorry I have a cold...

Nothing to see here.

All of them, if you include such abilities as hiring mercenaries and picking up equipment. Otherwise, all but the barbarian heroes (but still including Buboes and the Avatar of Wrath), as the others could at least cast their civ's world spell.

Civ heroes:
Govannon
Loki
Donal Lugh
Losha Valas
Corlindale
Rathus Denmora
(Adventurers)

Religion heroes:
Hemah
Mardero
Yvain the Woodelf
Meshabber of Dis
Arthendain
Chalid Astrakein
Gibbon Goetia

There are also Alazkan (mirror spell), Abashi, Eurabates, Acheron (if Breath Fire or Roar count), and any recon hero that chances to become a follower of Esus.

Sphener has just as many spells as Mardero (well, in my modmod Mardero has more spells, whereas Sphener's main boost is a powerful piece of equipment)

All living heroes can cast sacrifice on a demon's altar or wane if controlled by the Sidar.

point to magister.

Although I wonder, I always build barnaxus as soon as I can, but if you build him in a city with that building (which name I forget) that gives golems the fireball spell, does he get it too?

He definitely gets the free sorcery/fire2 from the Blasting Workshop, the free city garrison from Gridlines, and he used to get the free heavy and light promotions when there were Armament Molds and Velox Workshops. I always wait until I have a city with both of these to build him.

Well, if I'm playing the main mod. I added retrofit spells in my modmod so that (for a little gold, a turn of immobility, and the cost of other specialized promotions) golems can get thse promotions after being built. (I also reintroduced Armamant Molds and Velox Workshop, plus a couple new UBs.) Currently (meaning in the last version of my modmod, I haven't actually updated in in a while) I have it set up so the golem casts this in a city with the appropriate building, but I wonder if it would be better to let Luchuirp adepts retrofit golems in the field?

I also make sure that I have a blasting workshop wherever I build the Mithril Golem (it already has divine and earth 3, so this also gives it the ability to cast ring of fire and crush), although since he lost his affinity I don't usually consider building it worth the cost (well, I wouldn't if I didn't mod it so he has affinity again, actually more than before).

Parrot, Raven & Sailor's Dirge. Anyone who has read enough of your posts doesn't even need to open the PAK to guess those ones anyway ;)

My question is: Which units would you lose upon changing Civic, Alignment or Religion, BUT you can upgrade them to something which you can keep.

EDIT: And you cannot count Sidar's Wane ability as changing them to Shades to keep them, nor Lichdom

Actually the sailors dirge is still in the game, it just never spawns and cannot be built, so I'm not sure it that counts. However, I was actually thinking of unique civ graphics of a unit that the civ cannot build (but others can) for the third one, so I guess I can give it to you anyway. That is unless someone else comes up with a better third answer.

Well I was trying to decide which ones in the Civ folders were really still not in the game at all, as well as some that are not (Like the Hyena), but I remembered the Sailor's Dirge, so I went with it.

For a Civ Specific: Just about everything in the Illian Folder. But I guess those don't count since they never were in the game? But for all I know they had been back in FfH 1, or just before .23. Or the Grigori Phalanx for one that I am reasonably sure was in the game once.

Edited my question to outlaw using Shades to make EVERYTHING stay with you upon changing religion or Civic or Alignment.

No, I;m not talking bout anything Illians. Their unique graphics are in the game and have been for a while. Auric is a playable leader now, even though you cannot select the Illian civ without selecting him first.

I was talking about a unit that was replaced by a UU (which the civ already had, but which formerly didn't replace anything)

I think he means upgrade as in upgrade, not spells that change one unit into others. There is one obvious answer, although from the wording I'm not sure whether he is implying that there is more than one.
