FfH2 0.15 Bugs

Hmm... thats going to be a problem. In the short term I will probably have to disable the Eternal Flame to keep it form being to easy to exploit.

Would it be possible for the spells to require all three promotions to be cast? As in Sorcery, Chanelling 3, and Fire 3 instead of just Sorcery and Fire 3.

Playing as Khazad I got a python exception when opening the tech screen:

Hmm... is there a way to copy-paste the content of the exeption popup?

edit: it seems that the problem was that i got two techs from huts and those where not shown - sadly the error is not reproducable and i forgot to write the suff down :(

Yeap, that the long term solution as it will require xml updates, schema updates and SDK changes to use the new values.

When patch "b" comes out later today/tomorrow its oging to break save games. I try to never do that but there was no good way to handle it otherwise.

I never experienced this with 014, if thats any help....

I got it fixed. Its actually a vanilla civ error. You just don't see it in vanilla because they dont have any buildings that grant victory.

Ok So i dont know if this is a bug or not. But is this not the most ominous thing you've seen for a city?
I didnt realize that The Order and The Veil could have the same holy city, is this right?

Yes, they are allowed to share the same holy city. It usually means the founding civ only had 1 city.

I don't know if this is intended or not, but when I converted a kazad city (as kuriotates) the dwarven vault remained (empty/while I had >100 gold)

additionally, it converted as a full fledged city (I was playing one city style until I found a good city to take, but I didnt want to rebuff the dwarves as they had access to a resource I could use.) all malakim captures should default to settlements and then be able to build a hub if the owner wishes.

I currently have a MASSIVE empire. Playing the Malakim, I also founded (not stole) Leaves, and Octopi. Then i built the pact of Nilhorn and went on a conquering rampage (my alignment..well is no longer "good"). With the combination of Moe larry and curly, i took the Elohim's land for my own (they were in 2nd place) then conquered the Lanun, and dented the Svartalfar and Hippus before declaring peace and dealing with a "strike" situation. By the way, My hill giant Moe, currently had orthos's axe and was the FIRST of all my units to GET the axe from the strike. Made me sad. Orthos' axe then disappeared forever.

After teching up, i decided to grab the other two religions left in the game (Runes had been founded by Khazadians over on some other continant). I have close to like 20 some cities. And Lodente got both The order (First) then the Vale. There were many other cities to chose from. Qua?

16. All Malakim units get the Nomad promotion for free.

Realized that this is not entirely true. All the starting units and at least new produced Workers and Settlers (don't know about others at the moment) don't get the Nomad promotion.

Took over a city with the Kuriotates, and it had (and kept) a hunting lodge. However, I cannot build a monument in it, only walls.

Yeah, the kuriotates dont destory buildings in cities they take anymore than normal (I want players who lose and regain their cities from the kuriotates to not suffer unduly) but the kuriotates cant do much with those buildings.

Right, but the important part is that I can't build monuments in any of them.

Ahhh.. right you are. It was still checking the builsing as its old name. It will be fixed in 0.15b, thanks!

are they intended to retain a dwarven vault?

and another thing: I always notice that the barbarians end up getting a great commander in the acheron city. I dont even know if they use him or not, but it just never seemed right to me that the barbarians get a great commander.

Doesn't the Veil default to being founded in the Order holy city if all the other cities already have the Order? Bah, more reason to forbid one Civ from founding more than one religion.

Nope, Ill fix that.

The AI does fine with them.

Patch "B" is up and linked in the first post. It will break save games (sorry).

Leaves and OO were the most prevelant religions, order and viel got founded within 14 turns of each other. Its like they were drawn to each other. Still, kinda cool for stories in that the veil and order would see the same city as holy.

It reminds me of jerusalem which brings me to an idea. What about minor - holy cities? These would funciton as a "forbidden palace" of relligion. You have your founding major holy city, very cool, but then perhaps you could have a secondary holy city (an old enough religion tends to have more than one "very holy" place.) Jerusalem is the founding city of Judaism and Christianity, but it's also a holy city of Islam. Mecca is the founding city of islam however. It strikes me that it'd be cool/dangerous/sad if there could be a "Secondary" holy city location for each religion.

Maybe the benefits would be bonus experiance in that city if your state religion is in accordance? Maybe free priests? Or maybe happy faces in that city. I agree that each "second holy city" would most likely be different from religion to religion in benefits, but it'd still be cool. I envision these minor holy cities as being built in the queue (not prophet-built) and functioning as a national wonder or world wonder. National wonder might be better, then each nation claiming a specific religion could have their own "alter" to the religion they liked.

Just thoughts,
