FfH2 0.15 Bugs

How about allowing dwarven workers to pillage dwarven mines?

We had actually included a patch to keep other improvements from being built on mana nodes but it wasn't working. I fixed it for patch "c".

Ah... i finaly got a screen shot of that bug that ive talked about... when i cast a target spell it doesn't work... see screenshot

I get the following error when I open the tech screen.

I have 2.015, Patch b, and the FFH white flags fix installed.

What spell were you casting? What were you trying to cast it on? Does it happen everytime you try to cast a targeted spell?

i was casting wither... but i get the same results with rust, charm, and some others. I was casting it in the screenshoot on the barb king... but later as i played i casted it on a elven town and got the same error. Other target spells (are they considered target?) like contagion and tsunami work though... most others i've had problems with.

Im not getting any errors when I go into my tech screen. Can you send me a save when you can reproduce the error?

Alright, there is a definate memory leak in the game, just like older versions of Vanilla. My page file history shoot through the roof by late game (Turn 721 this time). To check to make sure it wasnt just the nature of the size of empires and the like, i shut my computer down (after saving) and brought it back up and reloaded. Before the shut down, inbetween turns (with rotating dial) took upwards of two minutes each, after shut down, it was about 20 seconds. My page file history shrank to managable numbers once i restarted. Actually "shutting down" in the first place was a hassle because of all the resources that were leaking out of civ. I know vanilla had a problem with this too, but they seemed to mitigate it some with later versions. Considering that this is "wholey hashed" out anew, i know i cannot expect much. But i'm certain there's a leak and it's in everyone interests if someone out there knows how to fix it :-/.

Hmm.. I'll ask Chalid and Talchas to check out my code and see if I did anything inapropriate.

I cast all three (wither, rust and charm) in my game without a problem. There must be something different about the way we are doing it. Can you send me a save setup right before you cast the spell?

here one of my saved games...i've resently had problems with earthquak too.

Ahh, thanks for the save, that definitly helps. The problem is you have a bunch of units selected when you try to cast the spell. So if you select just your mage and cast wither its fine, but when you have the whole stack selected you get the error you see.

I'll forward your save to Talchas to check out. If you want to avoid the errors just select the unit you want to cast with.

i've got this error too (with 0.14c ) but never can't achieve to reproduce it ... even with the saved file . So i did not report it since i lost the error ... wreid bug

Ok kael... i just tried a diffrent target "spell"... i think the problem is with spells that i have to select a unit from the stack with... i tryed to join a great comander and a vampire lord and got the same error. here's a sceen shot of the error and the saved game:

At some point after this autosave, I went to click the 'Pedia button, and had my first CTD since maybe .12 or .13. I'm not sure which turn exactly, 'cause I was so engrossed. Really messy CTD, too, about five minutes of black screen and music playing before I finally dropped to the desktop.

I killed half a dozen Soldiers of Kilmorph and never got any slaves - I should get dwarven slaves IMO. I had the slavery civic.

EDIT: My bad - I did get a dwarven slave from Soldier of Kilmorph! \o/ :D AND an Elven slave from Elven archer! \o/

Weird looking city that became visible on my world map (it has (set) in the City name):

--------------------------------------------------

Theatre should give +9 happy faces for my city because I produce 91 culture per turn. However this is not working!!!!

I was the first to research corruption of the spirit, and duly received a ritualist who has, among other things, chanelling II and death I. But he could not summon a skeleton, since that would have required chanelling I and death I. I was so disappointed that I sacrificed him to build a temple :(

str boosts from ravenous wherewolves and blooded wherewolves aren't kept when they become the next wolf in the ladder.

i attached a great commander to a ravenous where wolf(don't ask why) and he rose to a blooded wherewolf but lost the +1 from the great commander leaving him at less than his normal icmb after i took the commander off

the happyness from culture only triggers on the culture you "pay" for
ie, you need to use the oft neglected culture tab to increase happyness
