FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

The apocalypse events at the higher level (hellfire and that thing where half of the worlds units turn barbarian) are a serious strain on even my computers memory... It took my 2-gig computer about ten minutes between turns. I'd suggest turning these events down just a skosh...

Also, if you play as Hyborem and get the hellfire, you can destroy your own hellfires... This seems a tad odd

Not sure if this was mentioned, but in my current game as the Hyborem the Avatar of Wrath is spawned every time the counter hits 90, not just once. There's 3 Avatars going around clearing the map now. I'm just hoping I can hold out long enough to finish my domination victory.

That will be fixed in patch "d".

I got a CTD when playing as the Ljosalfar. I don't know if it is relevant, but I already was at war with Hyborem, together with his creator, Os-Gabella. Annex, you can see the save file just before the CTD.

Thats one of the mercurian creation CtD's. It doesn't occur in my copy, so it will be fixed with patch "d".

I was playing as Hyborem, destroying the fellowship worshipping ljosafar. However, even razing their 19 pop capital didn't increase the AC. It seems Ashen Veil spread immediately before I could destroy the city, so I was then razing an Ashen Veil city. (sometimes the counter would even decrease a little when I razed a city).

Good call, I'll fix it.

9. The Ashen Veil isn't pushed to cities the Infernals take immediately (so they aren't count as AV cities if they are razed).
10. The Order is removed from all Infernal cities.

Hooray.

On a similar note, if the Gate is constructed in an Ashen Veil city (including the holy city), Basium's capital will have the Veil religion. Just looks really odd, considering the fluff, and also might means that units produced in the capital have a chance of ending up Manes when they die.

Upgrading an existing unit to a Prophecy Marked unit will not increment the Armageddon counter, but the counter will decrement when the unit dies.

Good point, I'll strip the AV from mercurian cities too.

I was playing around with a hidden nationality Eurabatres Gold Dragaon and found that attacking cities (not on hills) used up all movement points. I am standing next to the city with 3 movement points left, attack, and end up with 0 movement points left. Should this be happening?

How about the gates in Hyborem cities... are those supposed to be there only in the cities you found or also in those you conquer? Because the former's the case right now.

I got that alot on my old computer. Something is draining your memory. Do you have realplayer installed?

It means another program running in the background is keeping the game from getting enough power to keep running. Only thing you can do is turn down graphics settings. It happened back when i only played vanilla civ too

yeah i got real player alright i had a feeling some other program was draining memory, although i have been playing for three hours but i have played for more then eight hours before.

realplayer has the ability to drain as much memory as it feels necessary. It can completely override most programs. And theres not much you can do about it (programs won't work after it's uninstalled... Its that evil)

Patch "d" is loaded and linked in the first, it fixes the following issues:

1. Chance of religions being handed out lowered to 20% from 100%.
2. Sheaim planar gate odds are now calculated correctly (thanks Xanaqui42!).
3. Fixed a CtD in the FindClearPlot function.
4. Halved the hammers provided by sacrificing Manes.
5. Fixed the damage done by the Tsunami spell (thanks Xanaqui42!).
6. Reduced Maelstrom damage from 31-90 to 26-75 base damage.
7. Added a requires tag to units if they require a certain Amageddon count.
8. Fixed the issue where Wrath could appear multiple times.
9. The Ashen Veil isn't pushed to cities the Infernals take immediatly (so they arent count as AV cities if they are razed).
10. The Order is removed from all Infernal cities.
11. Modified the chance of getting angels and manes by the amount of players in the game (the more players the less chance angels and manes are awarded).
12. The Ashen Veil is removed from all Mercurian cities.

It won't break save games.

When you set the players at the beginning of the game to 18, Hyborem cannot enter the world, and therefore neither can the Mecurians. If this is working as intended then sorry for making you read it.

Playing as the Hippus on patch C, I got a Great Prophet and I moved him over to my Fellowship of Leaves Holy City. I was not the founder of the religion, but I conquered the Holy City and then converted to Fellowship of Leaves. Once my prophet was on the Holy City I was unable to build the Fellowship of Leaves shrine. The shrine has not yet been built by me or the civ the previously had the Holy City. The save game is over 500kb so I can't upload it.
