FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

what about octopus overlord horseman giving 2 manes when they die normally? Unless of course the horse also becomes a mane...

I was also wondering if the bless affect is supposed to disappear after one battle.

Yeah, there is a direct 1 to 1 for manes. Most of the time you will get 2 for 1. Angels are 1 for 1. We may scale that back based on your feedback.
 
I've been playing as the Mercurians and have been getting CTDs every so often, caught this one with a save file, crashes right after hitting end turn. In the previous turn I ordered several of my units to skip their turn, and had Basium attack one of the Hyborem's units (at war with Hyborem). IIRC the CTDs seemed to happen more often after I received increasing numbers of Angels.

Playing as Hyborem, at one point the population of all my cities was halved. I assume this was because old Hybbie died in battle and was reincarnated at that point. So far, so good.

However, all of my cities seem to have begun using food the normal away after that, both growing from food and shrinking from a lack of it.

Thas funny, I never thought of that. Fallow (the trait that makes city not use food) is a trait. And when Hyborem dies all the civs traits are lost so they switch to the normal food menu. I'll put a check in for that.
 
Two issues which are more of an optical nature:

The offensive/defensive strength of an archer is shown as 2/4. When they are hurt, however, it shows some ambiguous values (1.2/2 and 1.4/3).

Great Sages have an action button to build the Ashen Veil main building, which they probably shouldn't (Ashen Veil hasn't been discovered yet on the screenshot).

Yeah I need to switch all of the unit strength displays to a common model. You wouldnt believe how many places that is defined in (well actually you probably do since you have been through all this stuff too).

The Great Sage is normal. When we gave altar building to the great prophet we move the ashen veil temple to the great sage and the song of sutumn to the great bard.

Its the Mercurian Horseman bug, dont build them and you won't get the crash. Tonights patch will fix it.
 
On the start of a new round, seems to have happened in an AI team. All of the religions have already been researched - possibly related to Basium/Hyborem "researching" (more likely trading) the opposite religion?

Why does my soldier of kilmorph have the fellowship of leaves promotion? :confused:

The city he was built in has leaves and runes of kilmorph but it still doesnt make sense.

My post went unasnwered im afraid. It was at the end of page 2.

Anyway soldiers of kilmorph start with the leaves promotion instead of the runes of kilmorph promotion. My post on page 2 has a screenshot and save game with the bug.
 
I've been experiencing extremely long pauses between turns... this may just be my computer, since i'm using an old gateway with a faulty video card

My good computer is coming back from repairs tommorow (never mix zoloft and NyQuil), so i'll try it again on that one and see if the turns take as long.

Also (and i'm not sure whether this goes in cosmetic or not), but i'm getting text errors in the descriptions of alot of units and buildings in the civilopedia (the ones that start with TXT_KEY)... i'll try to get you a screenie tommorow, as the upload speed on my wireless card sucks and imageshack won't take pictures from this computer...

Damn you FedEx! Damn you!
 
CTD on ending the turn - meh, have to stop playing FfH for tonight anyway... :)

Thats the Mercurian Horseman crash. It will be fixed in patch "a".

Could this be due to the mechanic in Light where if Basium or Hyboriem died the civ lost the leader traits?
 
I am having serious loading time issues when I start a new game in Fire. When I did so in light, I chose "custom game" and then hit "Launch!". When I did, it took roughly 10-15 seconds to go through and get my new game started. Now with Fire, after I press "Launch!", it goes to the first screen and hangs up under "Initializing..." and goes no further. Well, it does but takes a very long time. I went out to dinner and when I came back, the game was ready to play. I just tried again and it hang at "Initializing" for over 10 minutes before I rebooted.

Once the game was started however, I could save/reload the game at a normal (few seconds) pace. It is just the initial start of the game...any ideas?

That is odd, it sounds like you have a ton of data in your Fall from Heaven 2 020 directory. You didn't unpack the art files did you?
 
I downloaded the game and extracted it to the /Mods folder as I did with every other version of FfH...were there special instructions with this one that I missed?

EDIT: I just checked in the "Assets" folder in the mod folder and it contains a file called Pak0.FPK that is ~300MB. Should that be there?

Nope, that should be fine.
 
Some more or less minor bugs I noticed so far (playing Basium):

- once got an angel with worker options
-founding an order temple in a city with veil removes veil (ok this might as well
might be intentional though)
-right after i switched to basium the turn ended automatically (changing it in the
options to not wait at end of turn(it was checked) and back solved it)
- in my game hyborem came into the world at about turn 200 and never gained controll of any city (he just walk in baliseraph territory (veil founder)) until the elohim left one city without defence he declared several wars but never fought activly
