FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

2 Questions...

1. If I download the patch will it affect my current game? Making it unplayable? Will it use the "New" additions in my current game? Or will I still be able to play my game but without the additions?

2. How do I check which version I have? I am not sure how many patches I have missed? Do I need only download the latest?
 
Just get the last patch and install it. Save games won't be broken. @Kael, I'd recommend adding these two answers to the first post of this thread or the FAQ, since they seem to come up a lot.
 
Are you sure? I currently have version 0.16j and I read in the FAQ that save files work from patch to patch but now it says 0.20, so I won't lose my game if I download it? Cause I have had this game for a month and don't want to lose it as I am kicking serious ass!
 
Ah, 0.16 to 0.20 is a major version upgrade, which means you have to download the whole mod again (250+MB .20, and then the .20g patch) - you won't break your savegames or anything, since it'll make a separate install - you can still play with .16 untill you delete it manually.
 
Alright I am downloading the entire thing now (well in 12 minutes) it is like 272mb. Will I still need to download the patch afterward as well?
 
The .20h patch, yes.
 
Is anyone else having a problem with the tiny blue buttons? I used to use them constantly, and they were fine up thru patch f, but when I installed h they stopped working right. Now they reset to base default every turn, I can check multiple mutually-exclusive buttons, etc. What happened?

I noticed that Patch H says it fixed a bug with Sanctify, but I'm not seeing the AC lower at all when I use sanctify on city ruins. The ruins disapper, but 4 or 5 sanctuaries later the AC refused to lower. The Readme file says I have patch H.

Also when I attempted to use it on two kraken's a flesh golem is created using only the first kraken while the second remains untouched, they also do not combine promotions. I tested this with a kraken and a high priest also, same problem with the priest not being used yet they did not combine promotions.
 
The dwarf settler isn't a dwarf. I think the settler should be made a dwarf, even if the animations aren't ready yet. It just makes sense. Also, it helps get your cities where you want them: in the hills.

I've found a third issue. In two of the four games I played so far, I've founded the Fellowship of the Leaves, but my great priests can't buid the Song of Autumn. The option doesn't appear at all, it's not even grayed out. I've been able to buid any other sanctuary though. I don't know if it might be of use but in both instance the city was holy for Kilmorph as well and I had no problem building the Tablets of Bambur in it. Oh, and in the first case I was "good", playing Kuritates while in the other I was neutral, playing as Lanun.

Anything else might help? :confused:
 
In my game as the Khazad I made the Mecurian gate became a team with the Basium. My complaint (bug?) is that the Basium will not leave my hidden national units alone. I am unable to move them around my own land without them being attacked. I thought putting them inside the trojan horse might solve the problem but alas, it didn't. Is this as intended? I would recommend that, at the very least, hidden nation units be unapproachable if inside the trojan horse.
 
I'm not sure if it is intended...but Basium starts with the religion of who ever summoned him. It seems like he should be Order. At the very least, he should not be Octopus Overlords (as he is in my game). That game was with an earlier patch (C or D I think). I have not tried it with patch H yet, but the first post does not list it as a fix.

Yep, there should be a prereq for building the mercurian gate like having either order, runes or fellowship as state religion.

Or maybe the Order only?
