I played a game of 021c today and noticed that my Saverous didn't gain xp from fights anymore after he hit 100 xp. What's up with that? I know that his hero promotion won't give him xp anymore at that level, but shouldn't fights still get him xp?
On a similar note, Kuriotates Scouts are not upgradable to Centaurs, but the Civilopedia says they are.
Thank you xanaqui42 for the update on the Treants and Skeletons maintenance cost. Does anyone know if (and why) we are paying maintenance on other summons? Specifically problematic for those with the summoning trait.
Furthermore i couldnt see decaying my land. No plains of perdition etc.
Skeletons are permanent, and not even a proper summoning spell: Adepts with Death I can create them.
You're looking at the main Scout entry, not the one for the Kuriotates replacement units (which is also named Scout). To see the page for the later, Go to the following entries, in order:
Civilizations
Kuriotates
The Unique Unit called "Scout" on the Kuriotates page
Then you'll get the detail for the correct unit (which correctly mentions that it can't upgrade to a Horseman).
Alternatively, use the wiki.
I am a little confused with the units I am producing in the city that had built the wonder Prophecy of Ragnarok.
I know when units are produced the counter moves due to the Prophecy Mark.
However, what I don't understand is why the counter is not decreased when you 'use up' these units.
For example, producing settlers, disciples of leaves, thanes of Kil, acolytes, etc. When you build a city, spread your religion or create great works with them, shouldn't the counter decrease?
Thanks.
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just bizarre goings-on:
In my game as Elohim/Einon Logos none of the AI civs seem interested in founding religions. I have founded FOL (yea, no elves!), ROK, and the Order. There are 4 neutral civs 4 evil civs and one other good civ besides mine.
No one was founding Ashen Veil (the 4 evil civs' scores were abysmal) so I founded it to see what happened. Nothing.
Then about 150 turns later around 625 in an Epic game I see the message Jonas Endain, one of the evil civs converted to the Ashen Veil. I was expecting to see Hyborem and his lot, but nothing.
Five turns later the weirdness started.
In yr. 630:
1. The Amurites destroyed Jonas Endain
2. Hyborem was created
3. Horsemen 2, 3, and 4 appeared.
I don't understand why Hyborem wasn't created when Jonas got Corruption of Spirit and converted to AV. Why did it wait five turns for Hyborem to appear after Jonas was destroyed?
the AI seems incapable of summoning hyborem or basium now
no, even after ive summoned hyborem, i can wait hundreds of years on quick and basium isn't summoned even though the order has been founded even before ive summoned hyborem.
haven't heard anyone say they've had the AI summon either as of yet in the current patch.
Could it be that you forgot to change the readme version number for c?
It still sounds like it is a bug though. I like what the design team did to separate Hyborem from AV a little so that not every game becomes a good vs. evil battle like they stated they did not want to happen. It sounds like the AI is ignoring the two a little too often though.
