FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

Aha... all becomes clear.

1. Should it be possible for a unit carrying a Golden Hammer to maintain the 'Give to Craftsman' option? Right now it disappears once the hammer is picked up. That's the gist of what I was trying to get at with my first post but I didn't phrase it precisely.

2. The Ratcatcher's HQ never moves for me.

1. I could have it work either way, but not both ways (well I could but coding one way to do things is a pain enough, coding 2 abilities for it is to much ;) ). Which way is better?

1. I'm not very savvy with what goes on under the hood, but I find the ability to grant a free specialist vastly superior to a +1 strength. I'd just as soon keep the 'craftsman' option and let units carry them around. That's just my opinion.

2. Huh. That seems odd to me. I've been doing everything I can to lower crime. I'm at work right now so I can't check, but I'll tinker a bit when I get home.
 
this might be a stupid questio but will patch b break saved games.
also in shadow has Acheron been granted the ability to move because in my game he has started to move around and terroise the computers, it also is a little stupid because it makes it easy to get the dragons hoard. its funny because its not me :goodjob: but still a little stupid :sad:
 
I never bothered with animals at all in Fire, is it intended for Elephants to be incapable of attacking?

It'll state if it breaks save games, so no, patch b does not break save games.
 
thank you very much i am just being cautious it took me forever to find the right map to play on anyone have an idea about Acheron thou :confused:
 
Anytime someone crashes/disconnects from a game, when they try to rejoin they cause an OOS.
The only way to fix it is to reload the game and start it all together.
This happens as early as turn 1, so it's consistantly happening anytime theres a disconnect or someone relogs for other reasons.
 
Hm, I don't have a save file handy at the moment, but the game is not adding the research and culture for Caste System; And yes, I carefully checked the math. I'll try to supply some proof later though.
 
I seem to remember a lot of people complaining of OOS errors with BTS. Maybe that is the problem.
 
Acheron has been duct taped to the ground...

Damn, thats one big roll of duct tape...
 
Using version a I had an event where the 9 offered to let me buy an adept with the water magic 1 promotion. I received the adept, but he did not have water magic 1.

The first post in this thread has known issues and addressed issues. Acheron's wanderlust is mentioned there.
 
Patch "c" is linked in the first post. It will definitly break save games (sorry, I need to rewrite significant sections to fix some of these things and I didn't think they could wait until 0.31).

1. Added an option to use Blue Marble terrain.
2. Fixed an error in the Adventurer event.
3. The AI won't use the Wild Hunt spell unless they are at war.
4. Ogre replaces Horse Archer, Stoneskin Ogre replaces War Elephant, Ogre Warchief replaces Knight.
5. Orc Champion line opened up (also makes the Orc immortal available).
6. Added the Strong (+1 strength) and Weak (-1 strength) promotions.
7. The Tower of the Elements grants the Strong promotion to all the players elementals.
8. The Tower of Necromancy grants the Strong promotion to all the players undead.
9. Elven Workers can remove jungles now.
10. No more fancy AI, Acheron has been duct taped to the ground. He won't be movable if captured by other players.
 
My game is going in an endless loop, “waiting on other civilizations.”

I’m playing .30b. It happens on turn 148. I loaded about 5 turns before and then got to turn 166.
It’s as if there is an event that causes this.

Is it possible to see what’s wrong by the save game? (attached):confused:

Svartalfar : Yvain the Woodelf

Yvain has no Sorcery Promotion
 
I don't know if it was already mentioned and it ist not really a bug but a serious glitch:

If you attach a Great Commander to Alazkan the Assassin, you can deattach a Great Commander from his mirror image every turn and so generate infinite GCs.

Yes.
There had been quite some discussion about the Elephants - I noticed Kael has made them upgradeable to War Elephants now, BTW ... thanks for that, Kael, now they're worth a lot more to me.
