FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

The health event worked for me. I didn't think so at first, because of the way it's listed in the health bonuses.
Alazkan the Assassin can't be grouped with other units. Is this some sort of temporary fix so that you don't create illusions of your entire group?
Is he hidden nationality?

Playing Khazad.
Svartalfar decided to starta little war with me.
Thought I was unprepared, but I was attacked with stacks of scouts. And occasional hunter and archer. Only after taking 2 of their cities do I see some swordsman attakcing me, even though these have been around since the beginning of the war.

After racking up some serious xp, Bambur was able to go for Cover II.
The bonus vs archers did not go up to 80% though, so Cover II would seem to be superfluous.

Back to the war....

The Armageddon counter is at 40, isn't the blight supposed to happen now?

EDIT: Oh well it happened :p next turn it got up to 43, I guess it was at like 39.5

I haven't located any information which would explain this. With patch E. Playing Charadon, evil since the beginning of the game. Once I finish researching Deception, I should be able to join the undercouncil, but whenever I try to change to it, nothing happens. No global message and when I go back to the civic menu, it still shows no membership.

I've had a similar problem with other civics, try changing the government civic as well. It should allow you then

v0.30e

I started a game with the following options:
Barbarian World, Blessing of Amathaon, Living World, Hallowed Ground, End of Winter.

I play svartalfar so you can imagine how disappointed I was as I didn't meet a single animal, no lairs, no ancient ruins, and no barbarians spawned any where!!!

Barbarian cities where well scattered all around the continent I started on, they however have a nasty habit of staying in their cities? For more than 200 turns now I got attacked only once by barbarians who happened to be in a city 2 tiles away from my capital. Soon after that the city flipped to my control under cultural pressure.

Once again I exploited the bug of Orthus giving away as many axes as the units in a stack confronting him. This time he got himself killed while attacking my stack of hunters. He didn't manage to kill any of them and each of them (5 hunters and a scout) got his own Axe. This time I rushed the Kuritates (sp?) too easily and without losing a single unit.

I got this last night, I didn't save the game tho. :blush:

edit: I do have a saved game for "waiting for civilizations". I don't know if this matters, but I've gotten that twice now, and both times after downloading patch e and playing Sidar.

I had two workers and two other units (I think two warriors) grouped together. I clicked the "automate workers" icon, and all four wandered off somewhere.

Found them later, and they were building a road. The odd thing is that the warriors were also labeled as "building road".

On another note, as balseraphs, it seems that I can send slaves into the arena. If they win, they come out as warriors!! Is this intended? If so, when combined with buying slaves through the undercouncil, I can mass-manufacture warriors really rapidly. I have also bought 20 slaves at a time and used them to rush many buildings.

Perhaps there should be a sliding "power-of-two" scale for buying slaves each turn? 1st slave 10 gold, 2nd 20, 3rd 40, etc.

I had domination available to 3 units (Mind 3 Sorcery). I casted all three at the same time (they were grouped)...

I got 3 Rosiers from my opponent (who, of course, only had 1)

A few turns later I casted it again (grouped) and...

I got 3 Gildens from my opponent (who, of course, only had 1)

v0.30e. Inquisition spell seems to ignore the new religions. Post linky.

Line 984, func spellInquisition, file CvSpellInterface.py:
Code:
	iRnd = CyGame().getSorenRandNum(4, "Bob")
	if StateBelief == gc.getInfoTypeForString('RELIGION_THE_ORDER'):
		iRnd = iRnd - 1
	for iTarget in range(gc.getNumReligionInfos()):
Because the range is 4, not 6, the new religions at the upper end of the religions array are missed, I assume. I wish I had a Civ IV SDK reference so I could verify what getNumReligionInfos does...

If the above is correct, you'll need to change line 986 to use a while loop instead of decreasing iRnd. Just keep calling getSorenRandNum while iRnd == position of the Order in the religions array. Without SDK docs, I have no idea what function would do that. Bah!

small bug with Blessing of Amathaon:

using default options for maps, if you use Blessing option then you typically end up with only 1 max reagents, and about 7 incense (on small maps).

if you use balanced resources map option with blessing you dont have this problem, but thats not a default option and is likely the reason for many people not seeing reagents on their maps

Cute.

This may mean that a bug from 0.25 is still around. If you have 3 Eater of Dreams (Sheiam L3 summoners) in a city and use their ability all at the same time, they can send the city into negative populations, and summon forever (just as long as it wouldn't reduce it to 0... -1 or -572 is fine ;) ).

My svartalfar mages can't upgrade at level 6. Was the level raised to 7 and not changed in the pedia entry, or is this a bug?

when you train adepts in a city with the prophecy of armageddon wonder, the first free promontion seems to get replaced by the prophecy mark.

Do you have Reagents?
Dohh :wallbash:
I forgot i only NEARLY had them but Einion beat me on that spot. Looks like it's time to start a new war. :lol:

Hello, I am a long time lurker, and FFH got me to create an account. I have a question if something is a bug:

1. Whenever I get the event where a dissenter speaks out and it gives you three options (four if you have order state religion) it doesn't seem to matter which choice I pick and the result of debating him it seems to wipe out all the production in the affected city. It can be kinda bothersome when you have been building a wonder for 15 turns and it gets wiped out.
