FfH2 0.30 Cosmetic Issues

The courtesan has an arm abruptly arising from one ear. It sure makes her scary and balseraph-like but...
Yeah, I've seen that too back in version 0.25. I'm surprised no one the dev team has run into it; it's pretty hard to miss.

It's ... disturbing to say the least. Makes her look like some sort of demonic creature that the Sheaim would summon.

The new graphics LOOK better, the problem is theres low contrast between the terrain and many of the resources. This makes it often very hard to spot them, especially on tundra terrain. I was playing an end of winter game and didnt noticed the corn 1 square from my capital until the square it was on turned to grassland...

Just use the button that shows resources in the little bubble.

The Sidar cultural borders are almost invisible.

This has led to some unpleasent situations where I played as the Sidar the AI colonized parts of what I thought to be "my territory", because I could not see where my borders stop.

1 - can the Sidar color be changed to something a bit more apparent?
2 - any way I can mess with my config to change the color myself?

Thanks!

To change the colors yourself go to:
...\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 030\Assets\XML\Interface\CIV4PlayerColorInfos.xml
In there you can change which civ takes which color scheme:
Spoiler :
<PlayerColorInfo>
<Type>PLAYERCOLOR_SIDAR</Type>
<ColorTypePrimary>COLOR_PLAYER_DARK_GRAY</ColorTypePrimary>
<ColorTypeSecondary>COLOR_PLAYER_BLACK</ColorTypeSecondary>
<TextColorType>COLOR_PLAYER_DARK_GRAY_TEXT</TextColorType>
</PlayerColorInfo>

To actually change the rgb values of each of the color defines go to:
...\Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\Interface\CIV4ColorVals.xml
Spoiler :
<ColorVal>
<Type>COLOR_PLAYER_DARK_GRAY</Type>
<fRed>0.369</fRed>
<fGreen>0.369</fGreen>
<fBlue>0.369</fBlue>
<fAlpha>1.00</fAlpha>
</ColorVal>

Although you might want to store a copy of the CIV4ColorVals.xml in the respective folder of ffh to just override the original and not change the original for other mods and vanilla.

French version of the game still shows an "Education" column in civics screen. Council membership is in this column.

One of the tips on loading advised me to use defensive Fighters, which is of course not relevant.

There's a barb town named Zolllobfobo. I'm not up on my Orcish, but three 'l's in a row seems odd.

The point graphs for the civilizations in the info screen do not work. It is only charting my civilization.

It's been over a year since I last played FfH (or Civ4 for that matter). So there were some things I didn't know how to do and were undocumented.

One is Training Yard and Axeman. No where does it say that Axeman requires Training Yard; all Training Yard says is that it gets +1 happiness with Nationality, which makes it sound worthless. Same thing with Archers, etc.

I'll post more undocumented things as I go along...

Reporting 2 cosmetic issues:
a) Missing the halo of Archmages in the ministatusbar (but it exists on the world screen)
b) I don't get the right words to explain it properly :( Please see the attached picture (Got Fellowship of leaves as state religion)

Oh, and another one...(sorry for doubleposteing *bows*) :

The Svartalfar warrior shows correctly in the world map, but both the build screen in cities and the statusbar still show the old Warrior graphics from Vanilla civ.

I fixed the terrain-grid issues and made it more easy to seperate grasslands from plains visually. cheers.

In the pedia entry for Abashi the Black Dragon, Abashi is referred to as a he in the strategy text and a she in the background part below.

are the faint white gridlines on hills intentional?

This double grid is driving me cross-eyed. How can I get rid of it? Thanks.

Apart from that, I love how the game is getting as dark and ominous a feel to it as Disciples(II), my other most favorite game. :)
