FfH2 BtS Conversion Beta

What civilization are you playing, or is it with any of them?
 
Any civ, I've been selecting Play Now, random civ as I try different settings.
 
The following file crashes in 2 turns during the AI moves. My moves included promoting with City Attack 2, Aiming Savernous at the closest Cabal city, and sending the Caravel to an impossible location beyond the ice pack so it will explore.

I tried to capture the error information that XP wanted to send to MS but was unable to do so. I seem to remember that civcore.dll was one files mentioned in the crash report.

Just getting around to trying C. Not getting a simple or detailed city screen with patch C.

Deleted and reinstalled with patch C with same effect. Retried with patch B works fine(as does normal BtS).

No custom assets/other mods, cleared local cache.

i just installed patch c and i have that same problem it seems to do it with every civ, i made a save but i don't think you could use it

I run windows vista on my computer, that is the only thing i could think that might make my situation different then average.
 
New patch updated in the first post. It's almost kinda looking like FfH2 now. Be sure to check out seZereth's new model art for Buboes, its very cool.

Still more to do before Im ready for anythin other than error reports, but it may be somewhat kinda playable (if you dont mind that there are quite a few things that dont work).

I've implemented the Adaptive and Insane traits through the event system, play with them a bit and let me know if they work for you. Ive also started checking in python changes, so I expect to see some python errors. Screenshot and post them if you come across any.
 
got the following on turn 1 after making 1st city.
Got it again on turn 12 when I received agriculture.

Hi there, I bought BtS just so I could continue playing FFH, so I might as well help you get it done ;)

I got the same error as moonrunner, plus this one :

Playing with Grigori on Marathon (it's fun how heroes still get 1 XP per turn and everything else is slowed down :lol:) (Am I the only one thinking a Charismatic Cassiel is fun too, especially with no AC :) ?)

I don't know which unit was supposed to be spawned "Initiated", I'm only at 275/300 for my first Adventurer.

EDIT : After playing a while, the same message popped up every turn.

why no -50% production cost on Imperialistic?

def like the trait changes for magic resistant and for falamar (very neat way of removing magic resistant yet adding its inverse into arcane, plus the use of a promotion rather than some invisible phenomenon).

still hoping for an adaptive/raiders faeryl heh

That eases my concern a little that I didn't screw something up =)

Running vista here as well, still prevalent in D unfortunately. Tried the new 'performance and reliability" and "compatibility and reliability" Microsoft patches with no luck, maybe something will pop up for dx10.

edit: Another common point, we both use nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX. I'll try some non-standard drivers tonight.
 
I am quite ashamed of myself as not being able to report any errors lately. I was kinda busy and a little stupid as I forgot to change the hidePythonExceptions setting. Anyway, I can only confirm the already reported python errors.

Both the one of initUnit and AI_chooseTech occur quite a lot (the first almost every turn). Normally because the concerned functions are called every time a unit is created and every time the AI needs to choose a new tech to research.

Hopefully a fast patch fixing these two can be done as they make continuing to play a little daunting. (No pressure of course)
 
Yeah, I'll get a patch out today that fixes the python errors. But unfortnatly I need to run onsite to a customer right now so it will have to wait until this evening.
 
I actually just noticed I have the same city screen issue as DXDamian and I'm running XP with a nVidia TI 6600
