FfH2 Cosmetic Issues Thread

Mardero's horns on the other hand leave a hole in his head (in the left corner picture).

One of the initializing screens (the ones that appear while a new game or save is loading) tip discusses Spaceship Victories. .41b

Aren't there spaceships in FFH...? :(

Well, anyways, I'm not sure if this is applicable, but: the Hell Terrain version of Deserts (flaming... deserts... or whatnot) have a problem for me: the flames are horribly laggy (large FPS drop), especially when there's a big, vast Hell desert in the area. The same applies to the flame effects on some Infernal units, like Imps and Longbowmen, when there's a large amount of them onscreen.

Maybe the graphics could be reworked to be lower-poly or something? :x

That sounds more like the responsibility of your graphics card, rather than FfH2 itself. No matter how low-poly the graphics go, there will always be the potential for someone to have a graphics card that has trouble handling the graphics.

One of the initializing screens (the ones that appear while a new game or save is loading) tip discusses Walls and Castles. I believe the Castles referred to are a city improvement that is no longer in the game. .41b

The 'pedia entry for War Elephant and War Tortoise are the same. Specifically, the one for War Elephants is used in both. The grammar nazis should also be called in.

WTH is a spaceship? is that like a AoL or ToM?

Can a 'pedia entry be made in the Units section for Azer(s)? Anything would be helpful.

When I researched Stirrups the popup screen had no info on it other than a pretty good quote at the top. I checked the 'pedia and it appeared fine.

the Shadows' description in the pedia is very, very outdated. I mean it. check it out for yourself, it says they have a bonus vs melee and require a thieves guild to build

The entire 'pedia needs a lot of work. I guess it will be cleaned up and filled in once everything else has been taken care of. :dunno:

If you WB in watch towers, they don't show up.Is there even art for them?

I've gotten 1 that involves Oil.

Okay, inspired by what someone else did earlier in this thread, as well as what yet another person did in the "Bestiary of Erebus" thread, I went through the whole text file and made a bunch of corrections.

I've attached a compressed (rar) version of the redlined document I produced in Word 2007.

The corrections were mainly typos and other minor textual errors. I made a few substantive suggestions to some of the 'pedia entries as well.

I really hope the team will find this useful, as it did take quite a while to read through everything.

One major plus was that I finally read the full 'pedia entries for the leaders, heroes, etc. A lot of really good stuff in there! I hadn't paid much attention to the lore before this, but really enjoyed reading it. Great stuff!

Anyway, as I said, I hope this will be useful to the team.
