FfH2 Cosmetic Issues Thread

Since version .41 all leader pics are shown incorrectly. Incorrectly means they are a total mess.
Example is attached.
Never encountered anything like this before and hence I'm quite puzzled.

Furthermore cottages in Ashen-Veil-style are not displayed anymore. They are simply invisible. :confused:

Those problems have been fixed in the current version of 0.41. You should delete your "Fall From Heaven 2" folder and the installer you used (if you still have it), then redownload the installer and reinstall the mod, then download the latest patch and install the patch.
 
Yes, there seemed to be a frackup with the very first versions of the 41 installers. Check out the bugs thread.

Also I found a minor problem in the Assassin and Angel unit Pedia entries. Their Special Abilities traits(Marksmen/Angel) link to the unit instead of the promotion entries.
 
Awesome... -.- Just played a real fun-game with Calabim and increasing difficulty option until the game suddenly crashed. But what really maked me sick was the fact, that suddenly I couldn't reload the game either as all saves exept the really early ones would crash as well.
So now I know how that could happen I guess :(

Reinstalling with the current 0.41 installer should enable you to continue that Calabim game.

Known issue with the Pedia. If units and promotions have the same name, it will link to the unit over the promotion.
 
Press F7, on this screen it is displayed correctly.

Since the religion screen shows the % correctly, hopefully it would be fairly easy to fix the victory conditions screen. I still think the problem should be fixed, even though there is a workaround.
 
The pedia still claims that the Citadel of Light creates a fireball when an enemy is within range instead of using a pillar of fire effect. It seems od that it was updated to include a link to the unit it no longer creates.
 
The graphic for some of units shown on the bottom left when you have them selected is too large, covering the info text such as how many turns it will take to heal etc. Ones I've noticed are elephant and griffin. By the way, I'm still on the z patch, 40z if I remember right.
 
The Warrens building states that it does not affect naval unit production, but it doubles Work Boats. They are not classified as naval units (by unit type) but they are a naval unit (ie a watercraft), and much like other naval units and siege engines they should not be doubled by Warrens.
 
Workboats are not UNITCOMBAT_NAVAL units, they are simply DOMAIN_SEA. Oddly, I found that the def cannotTrain function in ScenarioFunctions.py blocks the AI from building any UNITCOMBAT_NAVAL unit but Workboats, even though Workboats do not have a unitcombat and would never be blocked even if it didn't have that exception.
 
When attacking with a Herald, the gigantic wingspan in the unit image blocks the first few digits of the combat percentage, so I can't tell if it's 99.85% or 0.85%. Either shrink the image, clip it to be narrower, or make the combat percentage draw on top of the unit image, instead of the way it is now.
 
I tend to think that most units could stand to have smaller images in the corner of the screen. It is especially annoying for those units that have their pictures cut off because they are too big, like Hyborem iirc.
