i had a warrior who promoted high and became stronger than orthus in one on one combat and defeated him in open combat! i named him the Raider King and he managed to kill Rantine too... but then he died to a mercenary on odds he should have won while defending... i managed to get the axe back and escape my soon to be razed cities.. a Raider Prince brought the axe all the way to the kingdom of the elves for the Last Battle. The axe made it to the last battle just in time and my last Raider Prince died defending them!
its messed up that they got mercenaries so soon.. but the biggest problem was prolly that they had a barb trait leader. that would be fun to try with a 4 or 5 human team versus 4 or 5 ai's
theres no way we could ahve gotten mercenaries that quick tho, gilden might have been a good idea since that would require archery and real archers on hill cities can survive mercenaries en mass
if we play a game with everyone getting custom leaders, what leader/civ/traits would everyone choose? and while we're at it we could do custom portraits
