FFH2 Multiplayer Games - Invitation and Information

I know its probably a little late for you school types, but I will be home from work in about 2 hours and would love to play some multi if theres anyone else interested.

I get off work in an hour and would love some multiplayer action.

im thinkin of making a little mod for custom leaders, so if anyone has any leader pictures (should be roughly square shaped), along with preferred traits, then post them here and ill try to get a custom leader mod together

i think our previous scheme was 2 traits, or 4 if you take a bad trait (bad traits being agnostic, barb, scorched earth), and insanity takes up all your trait slots, and not sure about adaptive

Hm... I'd still like to try out a Cre/Fin Ljosalfar leader. Need to find a good pic...

That almost sounds like cheating.... The Ljosalfar are too strong to start with, that combo of traits would make it too easy to play them

they have slower workers and even when i play ljosalfar now i make farms instead of cottages, and forests = nothing with agri farms (-1 production cancels the forest bonus).

so while it isnt overpowered, neither is trying to make an overpowered combination against the rules, so long as the 2 traits or 4 traits (one of which is bad) rule is held, all is good.

im gonna make Sprawling Raiders Philosophical Scorched Earth lol now THATS overpowered

Actually I have not played the ljosalfar since .13 I think. I always found them too powerful, and the changes I have seen Kael make, have not changed that view drastically... That`s why I thought it cheating giving them that combo. Financial is really the best trait IMO, especially combined with fishing and some inland lakes, creative used to be one of my favourites, but becoming more experienced, I have seen that it`s not THAT good... but it still is a strong trait.

I know it's strong, but keep some stuff in mind- firstly, forests get no extra commerce from rivers. That means that one of the big advantages of Financial (3 :commerce: cottages) is negated. Also remember the lower worker speed. 80% adds at least a turn to everything, and two turns to some of the bigger stuff (like clearing jungles). Finally, keep in mind that bloom doesn't work on floodplains, and that floodplain tiles already take a really long time to build on. We're talking 8 turn cottages here on normal speed. They're powerful, yes, but I'm sure some that other powerful combos can be thought out... like an Ind/Phi Khazad dwarf, perhaps...?

Of course, a lot of other combos are strong, but Ljosalfars, especially with FOTL is extremely strong. Then the AF gives +1 food as well, but without FOTL, they are possible to contain....

Lorgen if you think the Ljosalfar are too strong then how about you take on THE HORDE with them?:D

Is that a challenge? I have problems turning down challenges :D

Didn`t follow you on that chip of wood thing, Chand

I pretty much said what you just did. In olden times, a person might put a chip of wood on their shoulder, and challenge someone to knock it off. If they did, then the two people would fight. Don't they ever use the phrase "chip on your shoulder" over there?

Oh, now I get it.

We have an expression "klaps på skulderen" which is a bit similar, but that is used in the meaning of "well done"....

To challenge someone to a duel, a more common phrase is "to throw the glove". I guess that`s a difference between "old Europe" and the colonies:D

Yeah, we didn't invent the glove here until recently, so we just made do with pieces of wood. :p
