Would the Southwest Republic be interested in pooling superweapon research?

The Italian Ambassador, a national newspaper with information from the government, was commissioned on Election Day yesterday, when Marcus Vincenzo and Tommy Generico were elected as the two consuls. New Weapons Research
Yesterday, there was an official test of the Italian Intercontinental Ballistic Missile version 2 (ITAICBM-2) payload in the African province of Tadmekket, a province specifically designated for such tests. The nuclear warhead is made of a special neptunium isotope that is highly reactive to uranium, and this causes an immense blast. The ITAICBM-2 is highly effective, and supposedly has enough power to take down a whole city and some of the surrounding land.
In other news, a new type of rifle has been designed, the IA M1V1, a rifle designed for semi-automatic fire because of its 20-round clip, but it can fire off three-round bursts with ease. The slow rate of fire allows our soldiers to accurately take out enemies, and at longer range. In addition, the rifle uses the standard IA 7.62x51mm ammo, making the gun efficient at up to 500 yards with the basic iron sights, and even farther if better sights are equipped for more precision.

Yesterday, the city-states of Malta and Oran asked to be annexed by us following the election, which we happily accepted. [More on A3, ANNEX]

Recently, the North Atlantic Treaty organization (abbreviated NATO) formed, and the Republic of Italy was accepted into it quickly. Also, our nation is pending acceptance into the North American Free Trade Alliance and the PADC.
