Sometimes when I tried to save a file onto my USB/flash drive this error appears:

I can't copy and paste the file into that location either.

This seems to happen randomly. When I unplug the USB and then reconnect it sometimes everything then works fine, sometimes not. The problem is not with the flash drive since this is a new one I just bought and it also happened with the old one as well. Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it because this is really getting on my nerves. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I want to change that desktop picture, but when I right click to properties the "desktop" tab seems to have disappeared. What could I do to change the desktop pic?

Could you have accidentally "locked" the USB? I'm not quite sure if you can, but on floppy disks you can.

From this I would guess that you either:

1. Have a limited user account and have issues with either file versions or with devices.

2. Intermittent issues of an undescribed nature.

Not much to go on :crazyeye:

I would:

1. Make sure the plug on the key is clean and straight (yes, I know)
2. make sure the USB socket is clean and straight.
3. use another USB slot.
4. format the thumb drive.
5. if that didn't work, try a different thumb drive.
6. use the administrator account to see if I could do it there.
7. if so, create a fresh limited user account and see if that helps.
