Really! It's the last and the one to determine which was the most popular of them all. These are the top vote getters from each grouping of games.

Please vote for only 1!

The order they were played

The Mighty Khan: Conquest victory for Ghengis before the gunpowder era (and Mad's first RPC!)

The Revised Plan of Chairman Mao: Space Race win after avoiding disaterous losses while stealing half the tech tree from settled Great Spies

Restless Joao of Brazil: Where we colonized the New world of a Terra map as Brazil, spun off the old, and won a Space Race win!

All or Nothing!: Where Julius Ceasar won a conquest victory after vassaling every leader he could, thus preventing a Pratorian romp through the huge Big/Small map!

Will The Real Suryavarman Stand Up? And insane game against clones of Sury. The only game on this list that ended in a loss (or was it a win :crazyeye:)

Barbarric Mayans: Where we were isolated and ignorant in the New World as Pacal, yet learned civilization so well we Nuked the entire Old World while winning the Space Race.

Return of Russian Spy, Peter III: Where we stole the entire tech tree after Code of Laws to win a SPace Race.

Fickle Isabell and her Quest for the Seven Holy Grails: Where Isabella had to fight off the dangerous Shaka by oracle slingshotting Fuedalism followed by conquering the entire world to gain all the Holy Cities.

All Good Things, Return of the Mongol: Where Kublai destroyed the entire Old World and New World of a Terra map, extracting revenge on 17 of the worst leaders in these RPCs!

There you have it, the last vote for the best RPC! Who will win!

Went for Pacal although Peter was close.

I voted for the Chairman. It helped me the most with my espionage game. But I am quiet sure that Kublai will win.

What, no Monty the Mad Scientist? Oh well, then Sury it is.

Ah, old Monty fell right on the cusp and fell out of the running (with Agustus). He always early on was popular but not up there with Ghengis/Joao/Mao.

It was a fun game to play and had a great time writing it up though.

PS: My favorite of all missed the cutoff also, the Drunken Viking Scum. Fun to play and write!

That's too bad, Monty was my favorite ever, mostly because of his insane mutterings, and rule #1 (The only RPC rule I've ever adopted for my own use!)

Great series though, and I'm sorry to see it have to end.

Good luck with your next venture.

I voted for Sury. That RPC was just too hilarious.

the epic proportions of the final rpc are hard to beat though. the screenshot of mad's tanks covering every tile in the western half of the old world is still fresh in my mind.

Sury was the only of those that I read, and I've read about 5-6. MY alltime fave was the first Charlemagne, actually, because it reminded me of games where I was epic-ly backstabbed. A close second would be the Darius game, where Justinian declared war on him, and then gave him the votes for an AP diplo win. And yes, third would be the hysterical Sury clone game.

You know, I plum forgot about that!

I had to go with Fickle Izzy, a narrow winner over the Mighty Khan I shadowed that one, and it was truly a mind-bending orgy of military might :crazyeye: ). But Izzy's escape from the clutches of Shaka was worthy of Houdini. :goodjob:

I am still in favor of Peter the spy. Although Sury comes a close second.

Well, time for me to make my choice from these 9. I am sorely tempted to vote for All Good Things... simply to give it another vote to dethrone Sury (no more Surys :run: ).

But

I voted for Joao for numerous reasons

1) One the really best ideas I saw for an RPC, a great Historical play.

2) One of the most difficult games to play out considering the numerous near economic crashes.

3) I am proud of probably being one of the few games that can exploit the abilities of the Portugese UU!

4) The ability to establish a very large and efficient research and production empire post astronomy. Taking the tech lead to build the spaceship after spinning off the original empire still amazes me.

5) Great Diplomacy!

6) An early rush of Sury!

I could go on and on!

SO of the 9 above I vote for Joao.

For the fun of it I will rank my top 5, combining the best games/most entertaining to reread (I do that often enough)/and was the best to write

1) Drunken Viking Scum

2) Restless Joaoa

3) REX Queen Cathy II

4) All Good Things....

5) Fickle Isabella

One bonus one, from the early sets as I was still getting my feet wet

Mad Monty!
