Finalizing 1.13

It's so high on the agenda that it couldn't happen before release, if that answers your question.

Don't know if this will get in, but Autocracy needs a HUGE nerf. I've realized that the AI loves adopting it so much probably because of the drafting ability. It's also the reason why autocratic Turkey can get a huge military and start wrecking everyone, and it probably helps their expansion stability if they're doing it on cities outside their core.

I propose moving the drafting ability from Autocracy to Totalitarianism. I think this way, if my idea is correct, we will end up seeing totalitarianism adopted more often than autocracy. This could be either good or bad, but perhaps the drafting ability itself is too powerful for some civs, especially those that grow large.

Totalitarianism is imo too late for drafting, it really should make its debut with the inception of nationalism and post-feudal warfare. Autocracy is fine, it's the other government civics that need a boost, by which I of course mean Republic.

Then again... How about this: Autocracy allows you to draft only one unit per turn, Totalitarianism one more, and Standing Army another? Also Totalitarianism could give plus 1 espionage for specialists.

I don't have too much late-game experience, but this SOUNDS like a great idea.

Be warned that I'm not too sure about it myself. It could have the opposite effect of what is desired, discouraging running those civics together since you are doing fine with just one draft per turn. If you can already draft at least one unit per turn, adding the ability to draft another unit is a smaller jump than from 0 to 1.

Urgh, sometimes I wish I had SVN so I could actually contribute without having to fear about my knowledge being out of date, but for the last few months I always thought 1.3 is right around the corner so it wouldn't be worth it to go SVN now.

I'd usually encourage you to make the effort anyway, but now is definitely not the right time to set up an SVN client.

And here I went and downloaded SVNTortoise for RFCE just this afternoon.

Don't worry, it's still worth it then :)

Actually it isn't as I had to deinstall it again because for some reason it kept me from playing CSGO.

There are some alternative SVN clients.

Still doesn't change the fact that I was away the first third of a game which I and my team then ended up making a 15-15 tie. Do you know how frustrating it is to know for a fact that literally the only thing that kept you from winning a game was technical difficulties?

I've been playing WoW on a desktop for years, so no need to tell me.

Probably five minutes after I finally get SVN up and running, knowing my luck.

Any idea when this will be ready?
I can't really say. I have been making a lot of progress lately, but there were also some significant last minute changes that have to be tested first.

Is Tibet now Tundra tiles? (I can't check it myself - don't have Civ 4 installed at the moment).

It isn't.

Will Dharanis still be able to cross capes and make that early European surprise visit?

That never really made sense did it?
