I like this idea but I think it has far TOO MANY options. If this poll is distributed I think we will end up with a number of people on the extreme ends and a whole lot of "1's" for the other options.

And the social freedom option isn't as exact as i think it needs to be; what about people who want strong government restrictions on guns but no government control of drugs?

Maybe there is no "perfect" political poll.

These people are the ones who could vote Moderate or Large Social Freedom (depending on their opinions on other Social issues), maybe even Little Social Freedom).
I think this example is an argument in favour of many options.

On the other hand you're right, the poll would give very far distributed results. But that is inevitable if you want to cover as many people as possible. The problem with just a few options is that they aren't precise.

Definetely not, politics is far too complex. That's why is wrote 'perfect', not perfect.

No, I would not say that at all. And you forget there can be fascist monarchists.

That is the problem with fitting monarchists and fascist in the scale. If you are going economic it is (left)socialism <--> capitalism(right)

No they are not. Every fascist I know is extremely right wing, as am I.
That is the type of generalisation that makes no sense whatsoever.
I can't speak for the National Socialists, as my membership is still being processed, () but every fascist I know is right economically as well as socially.
