etj4Eagle is right...back in the 80s Nintendo which was a japanese based company would release games to Japan first and then to the U.S. and Europe..So this has little to do with second rate and mainly to do with what etj4Eagle said about the location of the company.

OK, now I see. You have to be playing a single player game to use control+L. Then you press control+L and load a pbem game or hotseat game, and it plays as a SP game. This is what I wanted to do, have some of the civs declare war in a MP game, and then convert to SP.

But! There is a little problem. If you save the game at the end of a turn after that the next civ will become the human player!

I know warpstorm but fewer games are actually designed by nintendo anymore...anyway I was just making a point (sheesh people are so critical in these forums)

I didn't mean to slam you. It's just that there are a few Nintendo and Playstation games that came out nearly a year ago in Japan that I'm still waiting for. On the upside, we get X-Box games first.

Did anyone mention to the Firaxians about asking Soren to tweak the AI for the new victory conditions?(Elimination..Regicide..etc) For people like myself who have a crappy 56k connection, I can't MP with other players. Was it mentioned at all? I haven't read the log yet

I had hoped for a "replay-funktion", but I did at least count on some sort of "combat history/event report" to turn up in a patch - how dissapointing

I wish, I had been there for the chat, then I would have tried to suggest the combat history idea, that was used in Warlords III - Darklords Rising PBEM. It worked very well. A much simpler game I know, but at least you knew, who had killed your troops, taken your cities etc.

I fear - as Warpstorm - that otherwise PBEM never will be more than an ugly duckling.

I've gotten replies by sending messages through this link. Even a simplified text based "summary of important events that I wouldn't have know otherwise because I'm playing PBEM" mode would be a big improvement.

I have now posted my suggestions to their site. If I get an answer, I will post in the PBEM-part of the forum.

I really hope they will make something. It would be an essential improvement!

I know a few people that are waiting to buy PtW to see if the PBEM aspect will be improved since that is the only aspect of MP they are interested in. Currently, they feel it is not good enough to warrant their buying it.
