Firaxis just posted this on Facebook, discussing hidden cities in the Angkor region.

It may be hinting at the inclusion of the Angkor Wat as a World Wonder again, or the inclusion of the Khmer civ.

Or it coult be nothing.

Khmer has been alphabetically eliminated from being in the vanilla version, so this is clearly not a hint. Furthermore, it weakens claims that any other social media posts about historical events are hints. I'm looking at you, Ottomans.

I'm still waiting for the entire confirmation about that Mehmed thing people were raving about.....

People, these ain't hints, they have never came true, unless someone can correct me wrong.

It was unlikely a specific leader hint, but seemed likely to be a Civ hint. The nature of that tweet was also different (Khmer cities are exciting, but the end of Byzantium a controversial topic; random tweeting about that on its anniversary without purpose would seem to be a celebration of a middle-eastern victory against the Europeans, and something of a religious victory, which hardly seems suitable given present political tensions, especially now with Erdogan's behavior).

It *could* mean anything. Therefore, it means nothing.

The Khmer should be in the base game, or any other Southeast Asian civilization. We need more Asian civs not European ones.

If not, it makes the whole game look silly.

Although I'd be happy about their inclusion as a SEA civ, I thought their little remaining chance of being in vanilla vanished when I saw the "Wat"-religious building. :p
