Firebug's Civilizations

Another Greek State will unlikely be seen until Civ6. And even that will be a remake.

I'm coming to the end of my life in education. I will not be going onto a University, thus meaning i will have to go out there and be a responsible adult, get a job, live my life.
This won't stop modding obviously, just as it won't stop my hobby of going out into a muddy field and hitting people with fake weaponry, but it will slow it down. Civ6, if the tools are as good as promised, will likely be my restart point that gives me that extra boost back into the civfanatics world.

Obviously, making the same Greek civilizations again and again was a definite drain on my energy. I enjoyed making them, the art was fun, but i was churning them out on weekends when i would usually just sit back and play video games. Now with my exam in less then a month, and becoming 18 in one month and a day, i realise i need to focus on more important things.

I will help Colonialist Legacies with their next release, and that will likely be it. I will continue to browse the forums, since you guys are great, and possibly throw out a patch or two when i can.

RIP Elizabeth's Rock Band?

Maybe Elizabeth will return in Civ6?

I doubt they would make it more hard. And i expect Great Musicians will still exist, since theres a new and improved Great Work system with a better UI. (apparently)

I'd be up for doing the Rock Band thing if you're alright for that. The idea of being able to spawn Lennon or even, I don't know, Barrett is incredibly appealing to me. I can imagine their things being Great Writer-esque quotes as opposed to the Great Musician splash. For example:

"You've got that rainbow feel, but the rainbow has a beard."
- Swlabr (Jack Bruce)

I can't copyright a Rock Band UU, so go ahead.

I don't want to step on your turf though, like it seems sorta rude :p
also I'd have to come up with two more uniques

NOW I HAVE A BEATLES PROFILE!
MUAHAHA!

Expect a Bulgaria update soon! fixes the leaderscreen, fixes compatibilities and fixes the horrible alpha.
I have decided that i will try to do quick updates to fix issues and maybe art.

NOW I HAVE A BEATLES PROFILE!
MUAHAHA!

If I do end up doing a Rock Band/Rock Singer UU, I'd be pretty tempted to use George from this as the icon:

It's annoying though because some of my favourite lines from songs are from American bands...

Oh, please, a picture from their shows in the Shea Stadium would be a lot better.

Oh, please, a picture from their shows in the Shea Stadium would be a lot better.

Good luck finding a decent-looking colour version of that :p

There are so many good quotes from American bands, though... I'd have to open it up if I ever did this.

"I am the Lizard King. I can do anything."
- Not to Touch the Earth (Jim Morrison)

"Still, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest."
- The Boxer (Paul Simon)

"We are forces of chaos and anarchy. Everything they say we are, we are. And we are very proud of ourselves!"
- We Should Be Together (Paul Kantner)

"We were driven by immeasurable optimism and arrogance. We were convinced that we were much better than any of those other groups, and we're still convinced of that. It's terrible that it's been proven true!"
- The Police Interview (Stewart Copeland) [Not a song, but it's such a good quote]

"My yellow in this case is not so mellow!"
- Bold as Love (Jimi Hendrix)

If you're looking for Beatles quotes, either go with "And in the end... the love you make... is equal to the love you take..." from The End, or a quote from their interviews - "How did you find America?" "Turn left at Greenland!", "Hi, you're not married!" "No, I'm George!" or "The French have yet to make up their minds about The Beatles. What do you think of them?" "Oh, we like The Beatles. They're gear." are personal favourites of mine.

Is it bad i totally read all those in their voices?

"are you a mod or a rocker?".... "no i'm a mocker".

"has success changed your life?".... "yes"

"have you any hobbies?".... *takes pen and paper from reporter, scribbles on it and shows the interviewer*.... ":O"

"What would you call that hairstyle your wearing?".... "Arthur."

British comedy at its finest

oh and have some more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxq40ZYIibw
I'm entitled to going off topic since this thread doesn't actually develop mods anymore, instead we post Beatles quotes. Enjoy your stay!

Oh, they all need at least one each. I was thinking:

"And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make."
- Abbey Road Medley (John Lennon)

"Without going out of my door, I can know all things on Earth. Without looking out of my window, I can know the ways of Heaven."
- The Inner Light (George Harrison)

"I get by with a little help from my friends."
- With a Little Help from My Friends (Ringo Starr) [Yes, I know he didn't write it, but it's fitting.]

"Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?" "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles."

The Police are british, though

Copeland was American though.

The End was composed by Paul, actually.

It's very Lennon-y in the lyrics, save for maybe the start - but the fact that Paul wrote it shines through in the instrumentality of it. Very melodical and quite technical but not to the extent of George's songs.
