Firefox 2 Hotkeys

This hopefully should be a very simple problem to solve.

Downloaded/updated my firefox 1.8.somethingoranother to firefox 2.something however now 'alt+s' is the hotkey for the history link at the top to come up, is there anyway to change it? i like alt+s, helps with the 'ol spamming

I have the slovene version, but Alt-s puts me into the FF's search bar. No idea about changing the hotkeys

Well i found out the shortkey for history is meant to be ctrl+s so im not sure why alt+s is doing what it is, any ideas how to fix other than an uninstal?

Alt+S is meant to be the hotkey for History. That's why the 's' in History is underlined. Other Windows programs use alt hotkeys as well

The hardest part is to figure out the code for the command. I can't help you with that since you didn't say what you want Alt+S to do

Well alt+s on most forums is just allows you to post without having to hit the mouse.

I'll give that key config thing a whirl.

So what did you do?

I had this problem when I first got Firefox and then I changed these to
Change:
ui.key.chromeAccess to 5
ui.key.contentAccess to 4
But I am still getting the History link when I press Alt+s, which is pissing me off.

Actually it worked, on this page but not another page. It was on the same forum.

I can't figure out keyconfig, but I'll have to get used to Alt+Shift+S.

Googled a random 3 pages with results of speed tests, Opera is almost exclusively the fastest browser, and Firefox doesn't even beat IE in many of the tests.

When I tried Opera it felt like they put too much reliance on the keyboard, you have to be really into opera to use it to it's full power, otherwise it's harder to use then ie and firefox. Still though, if opera had adblock then I might consider it, but the learning curve just felt too high for me to make me want to switch from firefox.

Ugh, that takes me longer than finding the mouse, I find tab --> enter faster
