FIXED_GEM_ preset_No_Custom_Civs

Is there a working version of GEM for the latest release (v44)? UEM has some issues at times. GENM has always been my go-to.

I was looking for to play C2C again, and just updated map and spawn file for v44.

- Added rocky formations to polar and desert areas. Also added some craters here and there over the map. This is to be able to build associated special buildings.
- Relaxed lemur spawning so it can be actually hunted.
- More dolphins XD.

Does this map has the space map on it, please? If not, does anyone know how difficult it would be to add it?

Thanks!

There's no scripting for space maps yet. So it's all by hand. Can't say much more on it than that.
Actually, WHY?
How is Space any different than Earth, given how C2C has a zillion of new Terrains/Features/Resources, which means it's already in need of a script-from-scratch?
Is it really so hard to just add a few more types and restrict it?
Like, make several same-size maps, each for a single Earth/Space Location, then just CUT OUT the appropriate part and PASTE it on top of a previous Location.
Earth => Space => Moon... etc.
Like, make it LEFT to RIGHT, where each most-LEFT part is "closer to Earth".

Because space maps as they are now I feel are a waste of time to invest into making work since they are imo insufficient as an answer to multimaps anyhow.

If I may ask, when will they be available, please? I know they've been bandied about for a couple of years now.

Whilst we wait for those, how long would it take to add space to the GEM map, as a stopgap until they're ready?

We have multimaps. It's just not totally debugged and the unit paths dont yet play into it and we don't yet have map scripting procedures in the code. The team doesn't work on the GEM...you'd have to ask the guy that does.

I'm unable to mod at the moment. RL is grinding me into rubble.
