Over a week of troubleshooting and reading debugging logs and I have found what works to allow Pitboss servers to work. This may also be helpful for those that can connect to other people's games, but no one can connect to you. A lot of times I saw people connect and then I would see the 5s 10s 15s Disconnect.
Ports to open:
First go here https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711 and open those ports if they are not already. I wouldn't mess with opening port 80 or 443, I left those alone and my connection is working.
Next, and this is what 2K and Steam do not tell you, open port 8766(UDP)
That is the steam authentication server port. When you enable logging and you look over your net_connection_debug log, at the top it mentions this port. I wish I would have seen it a week ago, but I always scrolled down to the bottom. Once I opened that port. Everyone could connect.
I knew it was that port that was the problem, because my logs always said the Steam Authentication Session was unsuccessful. Once I opened that port, they were successful.
I am using a Netgear WNR2000 v2 router.
I am happy to help/answer any questions anyone has over this.
