I know that I wanted to say taiga, but this is what the people at Firaxis decided to name the file, I can't change the name of the file.

Just like they named another file marshes and they treat them like swamps....

Just like they make volcanos cause global warming, when they should be causing global dimming......

A preview of forests and jungles fog.

Thought I would revisit the fog tiles.

I re-did the grassland forest file which includes forests, jungles and pine forests. I didn't like the outcome of the first release, as it was kind of rushed.

This set will connect the fog between tiles better than the first relesase and I think overall looks better.

Your fog technique would look great as pollution (maybe with more of a yellowish smoggy tinge), though I'd be shocked if Firaxis would let you use actual transparency effects in the pollution file...

I can use the fog on any graphic file, I was thinking of adding some smog on some of the cities actually.

I've been playing around with the ruins, what do you think of this.

That's great! Could be combined with a few more dark areas for a burnt-out effect.

There were more dark areas before I added the smoke

How dark? Where should it be darker?

Maybe I should have made the smoke grey?

Yes, 'dirtier' smoke and blackened buildings might work.
