forum reoganization for next game

Why does both the Citizens and RPG forums have city threads and indexes? :)

If the later is for role playing purposes, how about have provincial threads? (i.e., provincial events...) :)

Because it was too close to lunch time and a large portion of my grey matter was occupied in appreciation of my new wing sauce (chipotle, cheyenne and jabanero with a touch of scotch bonnet).

It's fixed now. :)

You know what else I like about it? No more of that constant sticky-unsticky everyday business mods had to do in the past. I'm surprised DoM didn't complain more. I wonder if it has anything to do with Shaitan becoming a mod..... ;)

Im still not pleased with having the cities in the rpg forum... this doesnt fit, as city threads provide important ingame information as build queues and city overviews. And splitting them from the provinces will widen the gap between governors and mayors. If we associate the cities too much with rpg, the mayors role will be gone totally and only few will be available. This would be bad.

Contrariwise, it gives an excellent role playing platform. As we saw in game 1, a large amount of what went on in city threads was role play. I'd like to see that in a section of the forum where it is encouraged.

But i fear the city info will be lost if the governors have no interest in rpg.

do you plan to implement the office names in the thread which i posted?

shaitan: i meant in the plan, the offices in there should be named right ;-)
octavian: maybe "roleplay"? or "misc"?

'Roleplay' might scare away the people interested in only serious play. What about 'Cities and Offices'?

Also, I'd recommend, sticked in the main forum and each of the subforums, a list of things that belong in each, what belongs in there, and what doesn't. This would help make sure everything remains organized.

Lika a overall forum index ;-)
With links to the "sub-indexes".
Good idea. The Meta-Index!

Shaitan: Would you do it?

Maybe: "Domestic Issues". Like cities, bank etc, will all belong in there. Only national things belong into the others. The only exceptions to this will be the provinces, as they officially belong to the government.

Definitions would be:
Polls: Polls ;-)
Government: All officially government related threads
Domestic Issues: All domestic matters and especially roleplay aspects which do not belong officially to government
Citizens: Discussion on Citizens and national matters as well as Citizen groups.
Main Forum: All national and forum administrational threads which are official.

Below is all a sponsor will need to start the Council Vote to accept this proposal. This needs to be done now. Individual elements can be changed later but the forums for game 2 are happening as we speak. Simply "quote" this post and then copy everything under the [snip here] then post what you've copied into a new thread in the Poll subforum with a title of "Cabinet Vote - Change in Section A of the Code of Standards".

Do you support the change noted below to Section A of the Code of Standards? All Department Leaders should respond with YES, NO or ABSTAIN. If a Department Leader has been missing for 36 hours or longer, the Deputy of that department should cast the department's vote.

This vote will remain open for 48 hours or until an unbeatable majority for or against is polled, whichever occurs first.

Review for COS changes is a little different from the other rule changes. You can review at any time in the process, including when the vote goes up and even after it's been accepted and put into use. Review must be officially requested when the Council Vote is initiated.
