Ready for some insane actions

First of all...Im dissapointed that I wasnt invited in this war...I will cry in silence though. Good to see this puppy finally came alive.
Obviously I will shadow to crush your domination time and laugh uncontrolably in your faces. However, I will throw out some suggestions from time to time.

Something to consider is that you guys dont have stone...the mids will take awhile given the fact that your amount of hills are lackluster....I have no idea if you have copper or iron and neither should you for awhile....you dont really need Bronzeworking or Ironworking too soon.
With that said...how can you guys increase your hammer output.....easy peasy.....head for Mono....get a religion and more hammers. You need to research Myst, Poly, and Masonry anyway...why not get a religion and hammer bonus along the way.

Pyramids is definitely a priority, so masonry should be researched next to get that going. I can start a barrack in the meantime. This is Immortal afterall, so should a Civ decide to go after the mids as well, they will build it with the same ease as us, even though it may not be industrious. No dilly-dallying here.

Oil .... I wouldn't had forgotten it. I also remember the hassle of off-sea oil ... but I think we need vessels less in this game. So yes, I WB in an extra oil for us, but it was off-shore  Afterall, the original start did not have oil. If I mad eit any easier, we might as well play Emperor.

Cable: Unfortunately, the roster was fixed way before the game got started. I would have invited you (and any previous Fox-OCC players) should there be an empty slot. Feel free to shadow, give advice, and thrash us.

Off-sea oil a hassle, no way. I thought it added flavour to the last game :mischief:

Cabledawg is right about the lack of production, two grassland hills and silver ain't much chop. We may need to get cracking on Pyramids after all. Interesting point on OR, might be worth it but imagine CoL is our best chance of founding a religion.

Thing is if we want OR helping the mids, and we miss judaism (which is likely), we'd need the oracle to get a religion. If we already have mono, we could get theo (AP!). OTOH if we delay oracle till mono getting it is anything but guaranteed.
I'd rather try mids without OR gambits. The production lost on the oracle would already be 3.333% of the mids :P

Heh, yeah 33% ;)

I'm for trying stonehenge (tech myst soonish), and use the GP for theo bulb, for pac and AP (I know bulbing and OCC aren't friends...) to give us 6/8 more base hammers and deny 438564 hammers to the AI.

Is there anyone who has a clear techpath in mind?

How long do you guys expect the mids to take without stone....50 turns?.....if thats the case, then Mono shaves 12 turns off the mids....10 if you count switching to the religion and another to switch into mono. The Oracle with the marble you have will take 7-9 turns depending on your size so you can easily interupt the mids for that. You can easily skip fishing, AH, and Bronze.....head to mono through Masonry and Poly....start the mids after masonry and head to priesthood. Interupt the mids when you can complete the Oracle on the same turn you complete writing for COL or Pottery and Bronze for Metalcasting.

We already have AH ;) Agree with skipping fishing though.

Thing is, we won't be building the oracle with marble as it's only available after the 2nd border pop which is roughtly due in 60 turns at the current cpt.

lurker's comment:
OR is less useful for an Industrious civ, you only net a 1/6th bonus when building Wonders (175% vs. 150%). So taking CD's numbers it would save ~6 turns of 50.

Production actually isn't too bad despite the dearth of Hills. Plains Horses (4H) + 2 x Grass Hill (6H) + Silver Hill (2H) + Plains Copper(?) (5H) + CC (1H) + Corn = 18 HPT at size 6. The Copper is speculative, but GreyFox indicated all resources in the original BFC have been transferred to this start. So 50 turns for the Pyramids is a pretty good estimate since you'll start them before size 6.

I think your happy cap is actually 7 if you connect the Silver, so you can work Pigs as well to grow faster. You might even consider building a 2nd worker so you can work both high food tiles and always grow onto improved tiles. I think that would come out ahead of a workboat since you can build the 2nd worker with the 6-food tiles but would have to stunt your growth to work the high-hammer tiles for the workboat.

:splat: Too much analysis for a lurker. I think I'll have to shadow this as well, and edit the save to switch the leader to Lincoln for a more fun comparison.

Actually, with silver + monument, :) cap is 8.

Heh. I figure you want the Pyramids before the Monument, starting the Pyramids the turn you discover Masonry. But the tech pace may allow for a Monument first. It's not like you'll have anything better to do with the hammers.

I was thinking of the henge for a GP either for Theology (religion + AP -> civics + hammers) or for settling. GPs are great when settled.

Spoiler long joke :
One day a carpenter was cutting a branch of a tree close to a river and the branch fell into it. The unhappy carpenter asks for to aid the God who miraculously appears :
- Why do you cry, carpenter?
The carpenter answers that his branch fell to the river. God puts Himself in the river and brings a branch of gold to the shore and asks :
- Is this your branch?
The noble carpenter answers: - Not.
God goes into the river again , takes off a branch in silver and asks :
- Is this your branch? Again the carpenter isays: - It isn't.
God comes back to the river, brings the wooden branch and asks :
- And this, is your branch? The happy carpenter answers: - Yes, this is my branch.

God was so happy with the honesty of the carpenter that he offered the three branches and told him to go home.

Later, the carpenter took a walk with his wife next to the river and suddenly  the woman stumbled and fell to the river. The unhappy carpenter asks for to aid to God , that appears again and asks :
- Why do you cry carpenter? The carpenter answers to him that his wife had fallen to the river. God puts itself in the river, and takes Jennifer Lopez of the river and asks :
- Is this your wife?
- YES, YEESSSSSS! - the carpenter answers :woohoo: .
God gets furious and says to him: - You are a liar, after all you are a great cheater

The carpenter answers: - Oh God forgive me! This is a big misunderstanding ....
- If I said that it was not Jennifer Lopez, you would take Julia Roberts of the river.
- If I said that it was not her too, you would take my wife and then I would have to say that it was and you would order me to take the three home . God, I am a humble man and I can't support the three…

Moral of History: Men only lie for great causes and with good intentions… ;)

Long joke, short report.....

Basically I researched Mining and we're going to finish masonry next turn. Farmed the corn and mined the silver. Currently pasturing the horses.

Next one, pls.....

Heh so no henge then. Oh well. Do we still want to persue the AP? We definitely want a religion so bulbing philo is the only alternative.

Oracle is definitely out of reach, with the 30 turns still to go for the next border pop. We'll most likely try for GL tough. Other possible wonders would be the parth, sistine and taj. I don't like building parth in the cap, sistine is useless and taj is good. I mean, we need to make use of our ind trait, don't we? ;)

edit: nice joke rolo :rotfl:
