GreyFox
Make it so ...
Been a while since the last Fox Game ... time to get another one rolling.
Evem though I mentioned towards the end of Fox-40 that the next game will be a Pseudo-AW game ... well, guess what, I've changed my mind!
Instead, it will be a straight-forward AW game. And since the last game was Immortal, this one can't possibly be anythng else but Deity.

Yes, you read it right, Deity-AW.
Pure suicide, right? Considering we lost in Fox-40 at Immortal ... Well, perhaps, but that shouldn't stop us having fun. I am crazy, afterall. Plus, we are going to get some help
But before we go into that, some premise of the game.
Legend has it that Uranus was the first ruler of all Universe. He was the first son of Gaia, but was also her husband as well. (Yeah, I know
... , but that's how the story goes.) Uranus and Gaia had an impressive set of offspring. First, the Hecatoncheries were gods with fifty heads and hundred arms. Uranus hated the beasts, and imprisoned them beneath the Earth. Then were the Cyclopes, with only one eye on their forehead. They too were thrown into Tartarus by Uranus. Finally, there were the Titans, the Elder Gods. However, Gaia never accepted the fate of her children, and persuaded the Titans, led by Cronos, to revolt against Uranus. In the process, Cronos castrated Uranus and replaced Uranus as the ruler of the Universe.
However, history repeated itself. Cronos kept Hecatoncheries and Cyclopes imprisoned, and swallowed all his sons, the Olympians, apparently in fear of them revolting against him. Only one Titan, Zeus, was saved when Rhea, wife of Cronos, gave Cronos a stone to swallow instead. When Zeus reached adulthood, he used a potion concocted by Gaia to force Cronos to vomit out his siblings. Thereafter a long war that shook the very foundation of the world commenced between the Elder Gods, the Titans, and the Younger Gods, the Olympians. Zeus freed the Hecctoncheries and Cyclopes and enlisted their help in the fight against the Titans. Some Titans who thought Cronos was cruel, helped Zeus as well, while a few remained neutral. The war of the Gods -- Titanomachy -- ended with the Titans being casted to the Tartarus.
All seemed well after the legendary struggle, with Zeus being seemingly just, assigning positions and domains to the Olympians, as well as the Titans who fought alongside with Zeus. However, as time goes by, Zeus slowly delved into matters of, uh, eroticism, and his rule over the Olympians slowly degraded. The siblings and children of Zeus fight among each other, struggling for power and control. Meanwhile, the Titans trapped in Tartarus were stirring. They knew the rule of Olympians was coming to an end. However, being trapped for so long in Tartarus, they were too weak to fight. Instead, they foresaw that the Age of Men coming. It would be the mortals who would overcome the Olympians, and in the process free the Titans. With the rise of mankind, the Elder and Younger Gods would fade away from the mortal world into other domains where they would continue their eternal struggle ...
We play as Alexander of Greek, in a war against the Olympian Deities. The Gods themselves would be divided into two warring factions to make things interesting (simulating the internal struggle among the Olympians). The Titans, although still trapped in Tartarus and unable to join the struggle, are nevertheless able to channel some of their powers to aid us (how else can you expect mere mortals to win in a fight against the Gods?) -- all our initial units will be Hercules
. To do that within the game mechanics of Civ4, we will begin with seven times seven Great Generals which can only be used to create Warlords -- no settling in cities as instructors, no building of military academy. Subsequent Generals generated from the experience bar can be used however we wish, just not the first 49 we stated with.
