King of myself
First of all, the bad joke ( no chicks were harmed or suffered a car acident in this one
)
Turnset
Turn 0 After looking at the save for more than 1 hour ( that proofs my noobness
), I decided to make this tech trades:
I made this to maintain Music as a bargain chip to more useful things.Incidentally the trades shaved 1 turn of CS ( due to the extra trade route from Currency ).
About the GE: we should keep it to the A. Wat or Oxford ( next player may decide which one is better )
Turn 1 As expected:
We still have the monopoly over music and all of the civs except Brennus have Feudalism. Not sure if we should take a Feud <=> Music +something trade now
Turn 3 Wash demanded that we severe trades with Han. Han is much more powerful than Wash and one of our trade routes goes to his capitol. So I said no
Turn 7 - Globe is in. Will make a worker ( we need to make plantations in the calendar resources we possess and 1 worker is simply too slow )
Turn 8 CS is in:
Research set on Meditation ( for the Philo bulb ) .I checked the techs screen and noticed that someone discovered Music ( probably Wang ) and sold it to everyone except Washington. Decided to salvage the day and traded Feud for Music and 570 gold. Not the best of deals.....
Turn 9 Finished worker, start aqueduct
Closed the Cows per gold deal with Brennus ( we dont need it anymore and a lot of people regards him as the worst enemy )
Turn 10 We got a GS
Time to see a revolution ( we are still a
republic, arent we?) after bulbing Philo ( and to found Taoism BTW ):
Trade with Hatty to get Maces and some cash for upgrades
Turn 12 I stopped the game here after the anarchy ended ( no units moved, no trades done, no MM done )
Brief state of empire 800 AD
City screen
Thoughs
Research was tentatively set on Paper ( no beakers invested). We should focus on the Health techs ( Guilds ) or beeline the beakers providers ( Paper => Education )? Not sure.... Nobody has health resources to sell ( only happy ones )... but Oxford would double our research.
Other thing that we can consider ( because we have access to A. Wat and a holy city( the GE is still waiting ) is to focus on priests and to make a
heavy city to chunck out Cossacks when the time is ripe. I dont like the idea, but it is a option....
The diplo is still very fuzzy, but Brennus seems to be the most hated guy in the block. But ther is a lot of hates brewing: Hatty is willing to war Brennus and Hannibal, Asoka is willing to war Hannibal, Wang is willing to war Brennus and Hannibal and Brennus is willing to war Asoka, Hatty and Wang. Maybe we should play our Philo joker to stir things up....
Roster
-- GreyFox - On deck, finally playing with his beyond the sword
-- Imhotep
-- Shyuhe
>> Feedback - UP, when possible
-- r_rolo1 - Just played and told a really bad joke
Good luck!
