Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What's 'eyeblaster'? I only ask because some sort of CFC banner that seemed to be called 'eyeblaster' or something of the sort started opening tabs in IE by itself; then, when I quit IE, it reopened the browser about 20-30 times, and only stopped when I turned the computer off.

Can you take a screenshot of the banners at both the top and bottom of the screen that are causing the problem? It'll help TF deal with the problem.

Hi, did our post dates change around from m/d/y to d/m/y today at noon eastern or am I just crazy. Don't answer that last part, we already know.

I think that there is a setting for that somewhere in your user CP My Account

And working with Superslug must have made you crazy

Thanks, dutchfire. I was set on UK. I have no idea why it switch right at noon.

And I don't blame slug for my afliction.

Has something change with the signature rules lately, the signature is only appearing on posts I made since I changed it, all the old ones are blank.

Edit: I can see it in this one for example, but from before this week it isn't displaying.

I had it blank for about 3 weeks, then I added a short one, and now changed it this week to it's current version.

There is a checkbox on each and every post that says "Show your signature". It defaults to checked if you have defined a signature. If you do not have a signature defined, it defaults to unchecked. And IIRC you have no way of even checking it unless you have a sig.

Quick question:

I am trying to sort out my PM box with folders for those messages I want to keep for now. Stuff for the forum games I am currently playing.

How do I move my sent messages to folders? I can't figure that out.

There are checkboxes along the right side of the screen. Select the messages you wish to move, then at the bottom of the list there is a dropdown box. Select 'Move' or something like that.

Yes, but 'move' does not seem to be an option in sent items.

Didn't see that. Well, you could d/l the PM, or you could forward it to yourself. That would put it in your inbox, and then you can move it to another folder.

Here's a question about PMs: Do people with no postcount, or smaller postcounts (i.e. below 30 posts) lose the ability to send PMs to up to 5 people at a time? I ask because a user who dwells only in Forum Games (and thus doesn't have a postcount) can only send PMs to 3 people at a time.

For that matter, why don't posts in forum games count toward postcounts? There are actually several active people who only seem to participate in that forum who have very low postcounts.

Because it's mostly spam. Those games used to be in OT, but we'd delete them after a certain point. So instead of doing that it was decided to move them to a non-pc forum and not delete them.
