friendship and defense pact bug??

players A and B are friends, so I become friends with both. I also sign defense pacts with both. B attacks A triggering me to declare war on B. Now A denounces me because I attacked a friend.

Shouldnt defense pacts trump friendships especially to the country attacked?

In a game? I would say absolutely. Friendship is not particularly reliable in Civ 5 (more or less as in real life). A DP is the nearest thing to an ally that the game has. I'm just glad I can count on that.
