Frontpage Ad Project

vra I like this as our centerpiece of the collage. "Civilization Fanatics" should be inserted at the top of the image. "CIV Democracy Game" should be inserted at the bottom. If someone has something more catchy with also being informative let me know.

We are actually Japanese and Greek. I like it, it will catch peoples eye and let them know we have a sense of humor. Remeber it will be the center of the collage and the host of other images can tell them more about our game.

So who has a nice graphics program to put this thing together? I know Cyc is pretty handy since he designed the Yenarii coin. I'd like to see it from a couple angles, then let the citizenry decide. The RPG market account will award 500 Y to whoevers collage makes it on the ad.

I will definitely work on this. I'm picking up my computer tomorrow morning. Hopefully, my hard drive is still loaded.

Ok, we now have 7 proofs for the first ad in the main forum. They are (in order of appearance) DONQ1.JPG, DONQ3.JPG, DONQ4.GIF, DONQ5.GIF, DONQ6.GIF. I seem to like the .gif saves better than the .jpg saves. The colors remain separated a little better.

Below are the last two proofs I will do for this pic and will start working on the second ad. The next two are, of course, DONQ7.gif and DONQ8.gif. If the population wishes, we can modify the winner little more.

Please comment on the ones or one you would like to see posted.

Cyc, I especially like the second picture (one to the right) in your second pass. I think it is because of the text, as it really seems to represent our Aretan culture.

I would like to see that one in the project, but they are all great.

This will be the "Poster Boy" Ad. No text will be put on this pic other than what you see now. These are my thoughts anyway.

In a normal ad, a pic can be placed anywhere in the article (all ads would be placed in an article space). The text should probaly go below this pic, if there is to be text. I have no problem putting any of the suggested text below this pic. But I feel this poster should remain untouched (once we are done with fine tuning the final choice).

Subsequent ads can and probably will be different. But we should keep our poster clean, as we might want to use it again.
