Frustrating Return to Deity

I don't remember Deity being this hard. I built three warriors, a granary, a settler, and all my first ring spots were already settled by the Americans. I stuffed three cities in-between the American cities, and started pumping War Chariots, while my warriors had revealed that I was stuck on this island with the Americans. When I had 25 WCs or so, I attacked the Americans. I lost about 10 attacking Philadelphia, and lost the rest defending myself.

Remember the Americans expand very fast. If it were a different AI you would have had a better start.
